I have personally researched on the archeological evidence in Taiwan for years, and I discovered there are three places during the "Kingdom of Dadu" in Taiwan central and western area that are actually related to the ancient civilization of Babylon post flood era based on the archeological evidence of pottery patterns and metallic remains that have been discoverered by local Taiwan scholars over the years, and they realized its resemblance in cultural similarity with the Mesopotamia river-basins of ancient Babylon. Including the snake symbols & tattoos and color patterns of the aboriginal tribal custumes in its designs were almost identical as those of ancient Babylon when the collapse of Tower of Babel post-flood took place. The ethnic group Batuan (pronounced like Dadu in Mandarin) may have immigrated to the Philippine Islands at the same time. The Huiwen ruins in Taichung City, Shisanhang in New Taipei City, and all the way to Sanxian Cave in Taitung have been excavated with the possible traces and remains of pottery and metal pieces from Dadu Kingdom gradually moving towards the South Pacific Islands. The historical footprint of the language were of the same origin for the Austronesian migrants across the South Pacific islands even as far as Indian Ocean. The Minor Ice Age eventually led to the rise of sea levels in the Age of Discovery with Portugal & Spain, it was the main reason why the people of the Dadu Kingdom gradually moved from the island of Taiwan to the Philippines due to the global climate changes. ONE important findings was a Bible translation to ancient Saisia tribal in Taiwan by the Dutch missionaries back in 1600s. kzread.info/dash/bejne/pYmtq66Iqa69abg.html

It goes to show that Austronesian is an ancient language, spread by the mobility n travel of this stock over land and sea. 2. Some of the hypothesis made , while sounding logical...they still remain hypothetical n subjective to interpretation. 3. Basically Malay has been the Lingua franca in mist of south east Asia for 2 thousand years. The old Champa (Malay) kingdom (mostly Vietnam n Laos) was established around the 2nd century. They were Hindu/ Buddhist and later converted to islam around the 7th century. Got defeated by the Dai Viet and escape at first to South (cambodia) and later pushed out to many other regions...thailand, burma, malay peninsular, Acheh , kalimantan (borneo), Sulawesi, etc. But, Malay was already present outside Champa. 4. Basically Malay n Indonesia is practically the same...thus no need to put up the separate flags...(What for, actually?). Indonesia became independent in 1945 n Malaysia in 1957. But in 1972 a common system of roman spelling was established, agreed by Brunei n (Singapore). Southern Thai Malays would follow suit...irregardless whether they get an autonomy status or not from Thailand. 5. Modern loan words for the past 50 years has been from English (in a rather accelatated phase due to the bahasa being used as an important medium of instruction in the universities. 6. Indonesia successfully gained recognition to be the 10th official language for UNESCO, recently. Malay n Indonesian (std Malay) language are mutually intelligible. Both have extensive vocabulary with official dictionary. Now efforts are made for it to be available online too...though this ongoing process may take some time to reach the standard of the universal English language. 7. Come n Learn Basic Malay...either the Indonesian or Malaysian /Brunei versions. Wikipedias are available too.... definitely more materials in the Indonesian version (for now) since Indonesia has more human resourses. (Indon = 280 million; Malaysia + Brunei + Singapore ++ 35 million).

Your explainations about the taboo numbers in Malay (Melayu) make sense. I am a Malay speaker, with fluency in the dialects of Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang (Kuantan-Pekan). Kelantan 1. So 2. Duo 3. Tigo 4. Pa' 5. Limo 6. Ney 7. Tujoh 8. Lapey 9. Semiley 10. Sopuloh Pahang 1. Satu 2. Duwe 3. Tige 4. Empa' 5. Lime 6. Nang 7. Tujoh 8. Lapan 9. Semilan 10. Sepuloh The dialect of Pahang got the tone or intonations (called as 'leweh') 😅 in pronouncing the numbers. Quite hard to write it here, need to hear the Pahangites speak. Terengganu 1. Se 2. Duwe 3. Tige 4. Pa' 5. Lime 6. Nang 7. Tujoh 8. Lapang 9. Semilang 10. Sepuloh The Terengganu ones are the dialect spoken in Kuala Nerus to Kuantan, Pahang. With exception of the District of Besut and Setiu which mainly spoke Kelantanese and the Kuala Berang District that spoke their own dialect of Ulu Terengganu.
