Such a great year. So many great chart hits and album tracks to chose from. Love some unexpected picks - Sweet's Fox On The Run, Cat Stevens' Oh Very Young, Status Quo's Down Down, Big Star's September Gurls, George McCrae's Rock Your Baby and Waterloo deserves its place in the top 10. It's a great list but I would also have something from Todd Rundgren (Sons of 1984, A Dream Goes On Forever), Gene Clark (No Other, Strength of Strings), Mary MacAslin (Way Out West, Down The Road), 10cc (Wall Street Shuffle, Old Wild Men, Somewhere in Hollywood) Sparks (This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us), Richard & Linda Thompson (Down Where The Drunkards Roll, The Great Valerio) and Tom Waits (San Diego Serenade, Lookin For The Heart of Saturday Night)

I don’t know where your musical statistics came from but they’re completely inaccurate. These are not the top 100 songs of the 50s decade.

Great list of songs!! But I do have a few nitpicks. For instance, the song, “Whole Lotta love” is number 9, and “ Siting the dock of Bay” is number 30+ just isn’t right.

#1, Hey Jude'? Forget the stat"s for this: this deserves to be in the top 10, but nearer nine than 1. However, really enjoyed this flashback to a very special era in my life - this stuff was still hot stuff when I was getting old enough to appreciate it properly. Priceless, but so were the 70"s, no? 😁✌️
