Here from the recent news of Virginia City and the Firehouse Saloon… Looks historic and it’s cool they make an effort to preserve some things. As a non-Caucasian I probably wouldn’t go here alone, however.

That is so cool. I could spend days checking something like that out. Can you imagine living in a place like that? Thank you for taking us along with you.
I could get used to looking out from the balcony at that view of the garden. Can you imagine kids playing hide and seek in this huge castle, there are so many places to hide. And you always have spare bedrooms for many guests. It can be a party venue and hotel.
I’d want to play hide and seek myself. If I lived in that castle it would be dinner parties every night.

Thank you very much. I am glad you enjoyed the video. The castle is so impressive. I saw the model at France Miniature and told my friend that it looked great and she said the real one is just 1 1/2 hours away and that we could go the next day. :)

Wow! Going directly to Disneyland from the airport you are like Super Woman or something. I’d need a weeks rest after that flight 😂 . Looks like a blast.
Normally I am the same way, needing a few days of rest after a long flight but this actually got me over jet lag very quickly, being outside in the daylight at such an exciting place. We also had 5 one day passes already for Disneyland for that Sunday only so it was a use or lose it type of thing. I was the only one flying from abroad so I could not slow down my friends. ;) And my friend had done research on which days would be busy there and surprisingly the crowd calculator said it would be very quiet at the park on Sunday and then very busy every day after that. Plus, they picked my up from the airport and after the park drove me to their house so I was allowed to be tired. 🥱
I so agree! We were spoiled from great wolf lodge, but wanted to try something different. Oh man! Hot sun in line, burning feet (I had to buy sandals), and so many slides with very long lines or not even open due to no life guards and crowded. Like a 45 min wait for lazy river. We couldn't use our fast lane wristband either. I love the roller coasters at CGA, but we learned our lesson on the water park. Indoor Great wolf lodge the lines move even if crowded. Its more expensive staying the night, but worth the primium for the water park experience.
It makes us appreciate Great Wolf Lodge so much more. I am willing to pay more to move quickly in lines and be free of the sun and burning feet. And having our hotel room be our locker makes for such a carefree trip. Well, we need to try different things to compare, so at least now we both know.

Where is it at?
Morgan Hill and Gilroy in California. Some of the U Pick Orchard Borello Family Farm ranches are in Morgan Hill and some on the neighborhood city of Gilroy. This ranch with the Rainier cherries is in Gilroy, Ranch 2. As of now only Ranch 3 still has cherries from now until June 30 or until sold out.

You are worth the towels. Use the nice towels, they put them out for you. Except if you have oil or grease on your hands or something you know will stain. Once someone in the Airbnb wiped lipstick on our nice towels. Hey those are not makeup remover wipes.

Ooh. I have quite a few Radley bags too. I became obsessed with them because i have two cairn terriers and the black scotty resembles my girl.

This comes on my fyp 2 days after the amaryllis I rescued 2 years ago bloomed for the first time ever in below optimal conditions and I got to enjoy it for all of 10hrs before my dog ate it 😭 at least the stalk is ok and so is my dog. I guess the moral if there is one is to protect it.
Oh that is exciting that it did bloom and that you rescued it. Hopefully you took a picture and in any case you will have the memory of it as you saw it for 10 hours. Those are pretty plants. I know Trader Joe’s sell those bulbs certain times of the year. My sister gave me an amaryllis bulb one year for Christmas. Those pesky dog, I know I have one and they are just so curious and don’t know what is a toy versus what is valuable to us. As a puppy my Goldendoodle destroyed several pairs of glasses and sunglasses and even my iPhone. Your dog saw the flower and was like wow some new toy just appeared out of nowhere. 😬 🌸 🐕 . I wonder if you can find a fake flower to attach to the stalk for this year. Apparently the same bulb can bloom once each year. I read online one guy said his amaryllis bloomed each year for 75 years!
In fact after 5 years white bird of paradise, is huge; when bloomed.
Yes it is so interesting. I thought ours just was not a flowering type and then was surprised to see the blooms, but then read that it is normal for this plant to take 5 years before it is mature enough to bloom. It had to store up a lot of energy to produce a flower of this size. :)

Pretty purple hearts. 💜 The outside of the plant looks so rough and yet the flower is so delicate, interesting.
My wife wanted to cut ours down and same week she said that it gave us 5 birds.
It was now or never for the plant. So happy that you both have the blooms to enjoy. I guess from now on they should bloom once a year.
