I think you've missed the point of the terrarium being an enclosure for a reptile entirely. For some reason your focus is on plants and not the actual animal. 15:05 That animal needs bare branches to climb on. An open corner to Bask in and a substrate to lay eggs in if she feels the need. The area needs to be a lot more open so that the UV is getting to your animal instead of being blocked and absorbed by your huge plants with their huge leaves. You have a cluttered enclosure that is doing nothing but displaying plants Cuban knight anole are not shy animals and you should be handling it at least once a day. I live in South Florida and I am rehabilitating an injured 6-month-old Cuban knight anole at the moment. Listen to know was living in a preserve when he was injured from possibly a fall or an animal attack. He has no use of his rear legs at the moment but he is regaining muscle control and nerve sensitivity. I'm confident he will regain his ability to walk on his rear legs. He doesn't care about plants he just wants his Sunshine, a shady spot, his food and to be on my hand going everywhere I go all day. I don't see how you can even see your animal,🤷 They are very bold climbing animals that do not shy away from people or attention when raised properly. Get rid of 75% of your plants, especially the broad leaf varieties. Then add some bare wood branches approximately 2 inch diameter for climbing and start handling your animal when you come in to feed him and to clean the enclosure. you'll find that you will be seeing a lot more activity by the animal he will be healthier because he will be getting more UV light and you will find that they can be handled easily. Initially mine was very bitey and now I can't get him to bite me if I want to. And that's been 2 weeks. Just some constructive criticism please take the advice with the attitude that it was given in. They are beautiful reptiles and deserve to be displayed and to be healthy happy pets... 🦎

Have you ever found that you've over-planted? Also, I notice you are relying heavily on bromeliads (the tank-type soft leaves). These will bloom and then die. They may send out offsets to replace the dead mother plant, but that will take some time. Meanwhile you now have "holes" in the design.

Hiya, new subscriber and keeper of fire bellied toads. Normally I spend weeks researching but I've just had someone surrender their two as they couldn't keep up with basic care. The water bowl which was tiny, is filthy and substrate was soaked with frog mess poor things. Thankyou so much for your video, I can make them more comfortable now thanks to your info, much appreciated 💚

THIS IS THE WORST FILTER ON THE MARKET FOR SETTING UP. Every video for it does not go over the complexities. Locking on the intake/outtake is a tremendous pain in the butt and then priming the thing is an awful challenge. I've owned mine for about two months. I have yet to get it working. I bought it because I'm a big fan of the 350, this ain't that whatseoever.

Firstly id like to compliment you on your video's thoroughly enjoy them so keep them coming. Im thinking of setting up a Panther cameleon bioactive setup and was going to use the same enclosure as you have however so many people on facebook are advising its to small, don't use enclosure made of wood as it won't last long and dont use glass doors because of ventilation. So im lost and also having second thought on Cameleon or Crested Gecko. Also what part of Wales are you from.

Have an Eheim 350+ with a pre pre filter inlet only had it a month 😅very happy with it . The other Eheim professional 350, which I had 8 years I broke one of the fittings at the top of the pump so had to buy a new filter. This filter looks interesting. Might be my next one after the Eheim if it breaks down Great video

I recently setup an UN planted tank and decided to go with UN's canister filter, and I wish I hadn't and went with Oase instead. UN by my research was supposed to be quiter, and that was true for the first month or so, then it got really loud. After having cleaned the canister at least a few times it still is too loud. I've been in the reefing hobby for 20 years and currently have a large reef, so I'm not some newb that is unaware of how these motors are supposed to sound overtime. Looks like I'll be switching to Oase, like I should've from the start.

I have a very similar setup in a 90x45x90 exo terra that I designed for a green tree. I love this tank and it was certainly part of my inspiration! The snake looks super healthy and you video is very informative. I just had one question, I’ve been reading online that bio active setups can lead to respiratory infections in these snakes, have you ever encountered any issues with yours? I’m hoping proper ventilation/humidity is the solution

Hi, I’m thinking of getting a Cuban Knight Anole, my tank is 30’ L 18’ Deep, and 18’ tall, note this tank is literally a topless tank so I’ll be outfitting it with a bunch of stuff anyways, so I can increase the height if need be too, but at present is that large enough?
