Depending on how busy your blocks are the sashing will break things up; give your eye a rest. You can alway use a mix low volume prints as sashing to soften transition, it’d look more scrappy if that’s what you like.
@thelittlequilter8719 сағат бұрын
Yes totally agree! I just can't decide if it should be all one color (to help give your eye a rest) or the low volumes. I was thinking if I went all one color to do just one of Edyta's linen off white/ white colors. But then I was a little concerned that might be too stark of a contrast??
@jojorey688619 сағат бұрын
@@thelittlequilter87 you can lay some fabric yardage on the floor and then place the blocks down with 2” space between each block and it’ll give you a good idea of what it will look like. Or, you can use some 2.5” low volume strips and lay them out around the blocks. Sometimes narrow sashing looks great too.

Such a great idea. It takes a lot of thought for sure. To me, the blue bee on the fabric you chose was so delicate. Light and airy. I think with a neutral sashing it wouldn't compete with the bee block itself......maybe😊. I'm sure with your artistic background, whatever you choose will be perfect.
@thelittlequilter8719 сағат бұрын
I agree with you totally! I love the sweetness of it. The fabric, the bees, just all of it. Still trying to decide on a solid linen vs. a low volume mixture for the sashing/ background. Might have to try a few blocks out!

Is your tape a fusible? If yes, could you cut from lightweight fusible interfacing?
@thelittlequilter878 күн бұрын
Hello! That is a great idea! This tape is not fusible, but I do think any interfacing would work with this type of project. The nice part about purchasing it I suppose is just that it is already together in one long length vs. having to cut and sew together. The only thing would be that sometimes I find interfacing easy to tear and would worry about that from the standpoint of cutting it. However, I am certain that it could be done.
