I was told that for Malaysian, add SGD to Wise Account, then transfer to SG Bank Account, then transfer to IBKR, then do the conversion of SGD to USD in IBKR, that's the cheapest way, is it true?

Can't call it interest cos it's an investment. It should be "return". Yes, the return is accumulated daily. Yes, the difference is Choc Finance is guaranteed for up to $20k, while UOBAM has no guarantee, so it can also go down

I downloaded the app but realized that it's quite useless if I don't allow them to connect to my bank accounts. At least cardup was still useful even without doing that. Deleted it in the end.

One word of caution: products like Endowus Cash Smart Ultra (though it's not cash, neither smart) and others which invest in bond funds have poor return to risk ratio, especially for emergency funds. They are NOT suitable at all due to the volatility. And TBH, the extra <1% return is not worth the risk at all. Quite surprised that Endowus still put the "cash smart" wording on the product. IMHO, products like this are just crappy.

Can use at any shops that accept credit cards. Can withdraw from atm, but no ideal cos they charge a fee. Better to use trust card for atm withdrawals

Achieving 5Cs to be considered successful is previously the propaganda to motivate citizens to continue working so that the government doesn't end up having to take care of unemployed people. Real success is when you wake up everyday and can just do what you like. Of course, if you like to work you can continue to do so but it's not for money.
