    Looks great! The thing about tension makes me wonder if we will see something like outhaul and downhaul on wings someday to cope with canopy stretch and tuning preferences

    Where does OR get the nerve to charge that much for a kite or wing bc of aluula. Don’t they use cheap labor?

    Stiffness canopy : about 3 years later than several other brands: Takoon for exemple.

    It is interesting he said at 12:30 that they decrease pressure for lightwind conditions for better pumping, and increase for strong winds. I am doing completely opposite. Pumping is more efficient with stiff wing. And softer wing is easier to control when is strong wind with crazy gusts. So I do not understand his point. Or am I wrong doing that?

    For a guys who is a designer, he is a very poor interviewee. No info on wing design, use cases, etc. The interviewer had to pull out info "like pulling teeth". C'mon Duotone - either train the guy, or put someone else in there.

    Very informative, especially the nuances of current design thinking. The hard handles are almost like small booms. Why didn’t the just do what Duotone does. Isn’t the boom what they’re heading toward here?

  • @dcmackintosh
    @dcmackintosh9 ай бұрын

    Slingshot does have a boom wing, the Javelin. I tried one, and didn't like handling it as much as others with two hard handles. I haven't tried the Duotone, though.

    I think they intend for everyone to use the 710, except windfoilers will use the longer one.

    I have the axis red fuse and want a bigger wing for learn to wing and learn to flat water pump. Should I get a black fuse and the biggest spitfire, or just get a png 1300 or 1310?

  • @briansmith207
    @briansmith207Ай бұрын

    I’m inland, low wind conditions and I love my 1310 for this. Gets up very easily. I also have the 1300, but it requires slightly more speed to take off.

    What is your feelings about new MAv2 ? Is it fun to ride? I’m currently on ma1200 and with Loft 8m my bottom end is about 12 knots. My goal is to be able to start from 10 knots. I’m thinking about downwind board to be able to get some speed and use smaller foil or try to replace front wing to ma2100v2. I like your question about SF1230 but still not sure how different it is from ma1200

    Besides the awesome front wings, really love the attention to details. The pairing of front wing and stabilizer seems a bit of lucky guessing, but maybe it's the admirable, casual way of speaking of mr Roper.
