Nice video JP. I always wanted a 1/4 scale Magneto, but never saw one that spoke to me. The new Sideshow piece has got me very excited and might get me to buy my first Marvel piece in 2 years! Looking forward to the reveal at Sideshowcon
I am very happy for you, my friend. It only took 12 years since Erick did his for Kotobukiya, but I believe the wait has been worth it. Sideshow is making a lot of 1/4 collectors happy and that is all that matters in the end. I cannot wait to see the full reveal next week.
Great show JP! I enjoy your insight. Blessings to you!
Blessings to you as well, brother!
Great show buddy ❤❤❤
Thanks for watching, brother!
Star Wars Legacy is AMAZING
It sure is!
Love this piece. Dooms is the man! My only gripe is I’m not a fan of how Supes right palm is positioned… looks like he’s saying…”Hold still…”😂
I agree this piece looks great ❤❤❤
It sure does 😊
Thank you for the comparison I've been dying to see it
@@itsmeevan you are welcome. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching, Ashley!
Nice 😊
Indeed 😊
Awesomeness ❤❤❤
Thanks, bro!
Definitely appreciate the art of the Guts and Casca, however, as a Berserk fan, this is not a scene that I would want commemorated in my collection, nor is it a statue that I would be able to display.
@@TheBat_1313 I totally understand. It is a tough pill to swallow. On one side, it is a eerily beautiful and majestic. On the other, it represents the most abhorrent moment in the story. Some would say it is Guts awakening. Others would say it is the defilement of Casca. But in the end, it is a representation of rape. For me, this piece deserves to be in a museum or a private room collection. Not in a family home. It is gorgeous but it is not for me.
JP, thanks for the content! God bless! 🙏🏾
@@TheBat_1313 thanks for the support, brother!
People are already up in arms about the handover of Captain America. I think it looks like it could be good. I have zero faith in disney at this point but I hope this works out.
Don’t blame you. Disney is its own worst enemy. Pushing agendas rather than concentrating in delivering a good product. People want quality entertainment. Not virtue signaling and propaganda.
@@jpsarri Quality is the most lacking part. Exactly!
No Heir to the Empire and Thrawn??
Those are novels. Not comics. I also did not include adaptations. These are strictly graphic novel stories.
@@jpsarri the dark horse comic adaptation is so good though
@@juliosalazar7273 it is but not as good as the source. Adaptations are simply water down versions. Don’t get me wrong. Dark Horse did great adaptations for movies and video games as well, but the stories are not unique. On this list I concentrate on stories which were written and created exclusively for the comics market. The novels are on a level of their own.
jesus i love it
It is eerily gorgeous!
@@jpsarri just pre ordered I’m excited
@@Infinite_Mortis cool!
The English dub is good.

Great episode ❤❤❤

Do they really have the license for Elden ring? it's been 2 years and I can't find anything anywhere
@@charles-philipperatte6842 tough to say. Just to be fair, Demon Souls’ Tower Knight has taken forever to be released, although it was long sold out. If that serves as a time estimator, then working on these two line for whatever reason is really slow. Now, I spoke with Prime1’s owner after the last showcase and he said that they will have another presentation later this year. Hopefully, they provide more information then. We’ll see.
As always, great show JP! I enjoyed the analysis and discussion. As a Batman fan, I'm really loving the Batman Rebirth by Prime 1. I have noticed other shows declaring the "definitive" Batman based on their opinion or ownership of said piece. However, art is indeed subjective, and I appreciate the options that we have.
Absolutely. This Batman is definitely up there but in the end as you said, it is all subjective. Glad to see so many options in the market though. There is something for everyone. Thanks for watching!
$600 😂😂😂😂😂😂 no
I’m ok with the price. However, it is impractical to display.
I just received a book from Australia that was to be a real gem for my collection, signed by both co-authors. One of those authors is now deceased, so locating a copy signed by both was a real coup. I ordered the book via AbeBooks and couldn't wait to receive it, all the way from Queensland to Texas. Prior to purchase, the seller did not respond to my request for photos of the book's condition (listed as Near New) but I went ahead and bought the book anyhow, hoping for the best, as the seller had excellent feedback. The book arrived yesterday here in Texas, three corners bashed in and a dirty cover, with what looked like food stains on it and dust on the top of the book. Huge disappointment! I hope I can fix the corners. The seller described the cover as "pictorial glossy board." The bottom right corner received the worst damage. Every page in the entire book is crimped on that end. I initiated a return/refund via Abe, sent photos of the damage, but received an email this morning that the return was canceled, no explanation, which surprised me. Thanks for the video. I'll give your methods a try.
Dark Times for me is a canon, i love that run. And Dark empire is a the only one sequel to Star Wars franchise. Sorry about my English language, I'm from Brazil 😉👍🏻🇧🇷. Congratulations for the channel, i like your reviews 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Good stuff coming ❤❤❤

Is this the same collection of MOTU comics ?
This is the collection of mini-comics that came with the original toys.
Mike Manley did Azbat the best. He also did the first 25 issues of Darkhawk while do this 👍
Mike Manley’s Art is great. Highly underrated though.
Awesome collection! I appreciate your honest review.
Thanks for the kind words!
This is gonna be long... (I actually talk about the show in my final paragraph, if you just want to skip to that. xD) The animated series was my introduction to the X-Men. It's very significant to me. In my personal lived experience, X-Men begins there, as a cartoon show. I immediately fell in love with it. I was just learning about MLK and things like racial oppression, the civil rights movement, etc. and whatnot in grade school, and was particularly touched by a documentary movie they showed us about his life. It was a real gut-punch to my soul that this kind, compassionate man, who had every reason to be hateful and spiteful to his unjust society that often treated him very cruelly, instead responded with warmth, generosity, and love... seeking only to bring unity and peace... punctuated in turn with his senseless murder. I've since learned he wasn't exactly a perfect guy, and was adulterer/womanizer, among other things. But that's how it was presented, and I was very moved by it, by him, and his message. The significance of that is the premier episode of the animated series makes blatant allusions to MLK's basic moral principle. So, it was clear to me pretty much immediately that it had this moral/emotional core - but dressed up and packaged in cool, colorful characters, action, and explosions. Some might accuse that as "digging deep with a toy shovel", but considering the other prominent kids show in that time slot was the Power Rangers... I'll take the one that has some brains. Wolverine was immediately my favorite, of course. My brother's was Gambit. And then there was my father, who grew up reading comics in the 60's, and on-and-off in the 70's/80's. So, he had a fair bit of knowledge of this deeper, arcane X-Men lore that was the comic books, which I didn't really have access to. His father made him get rid of his comic collection, so he no longer had the books. And he would regularly lament the fact that he once had various significant issues that were now worth some money. It was also pre-internet, and pre-collected editions being anywhere near in as much abundance. So, when he would talk about stuff from the comics, like the original team line-up, how Beast was originally just a man with big hands and feet, how Wolverine was a punk (my father hated Wolverine) that Hulk easily pulverized and crushed with a bolder in his first appearance -- all this stuff became legendary folklore in my young mind, and I could only imagine at the time what the images from these comics he was recalling looked like. When I finally got my hands on a Hulk #181 repo issue years later, it was nowhere near as epic as how I imagined it in my mind then. The character in that comic isn't even really Wolverine yet. The cartoon eventually adapted the Dark Phoenix Saga, which was a big deal and hyped as such, and then one day, my dad brought home the trade paperback of it, and that was my very first X-Men comic book. And -- as was the case with every other comic book property I was initially exposed to as a cartoon adaptation (TMNT, Swamp Thing) -- the comic book was the darker, grittier, more adult version. Opening page, you got Wolverine reading a penthouse mag and drinking a beer on the Blackbird. Oh, and did I mention he was actually allowed to use his claws? His breakout, star moment when he decimates the Hellfire Club soldiers and rescues the rest of the team was completely neutered in the Animated Series adaptation. SO, finally coming back to X-Men '97, I welcome the darkness. I imagine the large majority of its viewers are adults who grew up with the show anyway, rather than kids. I've only seen the first 5 episodes at my brother-in-law's, was pleasantly surprised, and absolutely loved what I saw, for the most part. Wasn't real thrilled with them killing off Gambit, but hoping and figuring he isn't really dead. Loved all the easter eggs and references to the comics. You're definitely right about the voice acting. Wolverine sounds off a lot. Seems like he's lost that iconic rasp he once had. Rogue's voice is still husky, but doesn't seem to have the same base to it. Not a huge deal, but noticeable. And you're right about the pacing. They definitely truncated and rushed the Hell out of the Inferno Saga. But, eh. Inferno -- nor any of Claremont's weird and tonally-inappropriate demons & sorcery X-Men story arcs-- are my favorite material anyway. Claremont had a weird preoccupation with demons and wizardry, and I always found it jarring, because I view X-Men more as science fiction than fantasy. I would argue that Inferno -- and pretty much everything that stemmed from it; Cable, Cyclops/Sinister retcons -- was the very start to X-Men becoming a convoluted mess. It was pretty straightforward, for the most part, up until then.
You forgot Tag & Bink!!! 😀😀 BTW, fun fact, Dark Empire takes place right after Timothy Zahn's Thrawn Trilogy. AND...........it's #1 on my list. 🙂
I did not! 😅 I mentioned Tag & Bink in my honorable mentions at the end of the video. Such a fun series! Dark Empire is definitely one of my favorites. A must read for any Star Wars fan. Cam Kennedy’s art is spectacular! 🤩
@@jpsarri ok, true enough, but I still say Tag & Bink deserve a spot on the top 10. 😁
@gunnerycaptain6158 fair enough. 😊
Is the head detachable? Cause while the statue looks cool, that face sculpt is not to my liking
It is not. It actually looks pretty good in person. One of the best by Koto.
It's good that this dispute became public. This will save people money when figurama goes under.
I wish not. However, it is important for people to know both sides of the story. Right is right and wrong is wrong.
Sorry for commenting three years late, but I didn’t have the funds back then. Know of any way I can get my hands on one of these ???
Talking about the predator killer suit btw
No worries. Tough to say but I would try Facebook groups. You can also send a contact SpecFiction.com. I heard they help collectors finding sold-out pieces. Good luck!
Huh when we went the special exbhit was about insects but makes sense they change them
Yeah, they do have different exhibits throughout the year. We are planning to visit this summer again. Let’s see what they have now.
