In the Bowie's works
converge not only rock glam, punk, funky, exotic, progressive, etc.
personalized and merged in one unmistakably original style,
but most of the current music and, perhaps,
that one yet to be discovered.
Music enigmatic, surprising, hypnotic,
with poetic lyrics seen like by another dimension of Space,
digging within fears and doubts in our Time,
music that is a trip through the aspects removed or indefinable,
in the deep contradictions behind the facade of "normality"...
albeit if, all of this, is offered up with elegant irony,
intelligent and provoking, often funny.
Multidimensional music, in a hermetic language:
that of the Geniuses, of the Artists, of the Dreamers,
of the magical Spirits, of the Child...
I like the Visionaries, those who see beyond,
who have broader perspectives, who defy the common man...
That's the Music of my Life 🎸

There was a slight flub in the transition between Adrians’s intro and the first verse… But true to form, the rhythm section never missed a beat and they fell right back into it… Phenomenal band!!!

Best live version of this great song, but David did mix up the lyrics, " Year of the scavenger season of the bitch" is the ending verse , oh we still love this performance.

This ain't rock'n'roll, this is genocide As they pulled you out of the oxygen tent You asked for the latest party With your silicone hump and your ten inch stump Dressed like a priest you was Todd Browning's freak you was Crawling down the alley on your hands and knee I'm sure you're not protected, for it's plain to see The diamond dogs are poachers and they hide behind trees Hunt you to the ground they will, mannequins with kill appeal I'll keep a friend serene (Will they come?) Oh baby, come unto me (Will they come?) Well, she's come, been and gone Come out of the garden, baby You'll catch your death in the fog Young girl, they call them the Diamond Dogs Young girl, they call them the Diamond Dogs The Halloween Jack is a real cool cat And he lives on top of Manhattan Chase The elevator's broke, so he slides down a rope Onto the street below, oh Tarzie, go man go Meet his little hussy with his ghost town approach Her face is sans feature, but she wears a Dali brooch Sweetly reminiscent, something mother used to bake Wrecked up and paralyzed, Diamond Dogs are stabilized I'll keep a friend serene (Will they come?) Oh baby, come unto me (Will they come?) Well, she's come, been and gone Come out of the garden, baby You'll catch your death in the fog Young girl, they call them the Diamond Dogs Young girl, they call them the Diamond Dogs Oo-oo-ooh, call them the Diamond Dogs Oo-oo-ooh, call them the Diamond Dogs In the year of the scavenger, the season of the bitch Sashay on the boardwalk, scurry to the ditch Just another future song, lonely little kitsch (There's gonna be sorrow) try and wake up tomorrow I'll keep a friend serene (Will they come?) Oh baby, come unto me (Will they come?) Well, she's come, been and gone Come out of the garden, baby You'll catch your death in the fog Young girl, they call them the Diamond Dogs Young girl, they call them the Diamond Dogs Oo-oo-ooh, call them the Diamond Dogs Oo-oo-ooh, call them the Diamond Dogs Bow-wow, woof woof, bow-wow, wow Call them the Diamond Dogs Dogs Call them the Diamond Dogs, call them, call them Call them the Diamond Dogs, call them, call them, ooo Call them the Diamond Dogs Keep cool Diamond Dogs rule, ok Hey-hey-hey-hey Beware of the Diamond Dogs Beware of the Diamond Dogs Beware of the Diamond Dogs Source: LyricFind Songwriters: David Bowie

I’m a late GenXer. When Bowie passed, more than a couple older fans I spoke to were quick to try to gatekeep and say I couldn’t have been a fan, as if his career ended after the 70s or something. They had no idea that he was doing his best work long after they stopped listening.

I'm 65 and saw his Ziggy tour in 72. I do like early Bowie best, maybe because I was in my youth. But his genius continued till that awful day we lost him . I love that generations after me love him. I am borderline obsessed with him and are happy you are a fan. Outside is one of my favorite records from him....and that was 1995.
