even with all the Steve hate, the reason why Many was steamrolled by Shinymark is not that he's playing Steve, is that Shiny knows the matchup and even if Many had some practice vs Pikachu before, you cant be ready for a Pikachu of that level in your first time and that's without considering the top 8 pressure and the fact that the entire arena was booing him despite being the only Mexican rep in top 8 winners. He can do much more with more experience, but Shiny was a beast and has a ton more experience than him at this point.

The issue with Pika us the same issue Sheik has, but to a lesser degree. It's not that they can't kill, it's that they have very few reliable raw kill moves and are mostly reliant on confirm that require specific percent windows that differ on a per character basis. Pika at least has dash attack and up throw

First Diamond Dust, Then Pre S Factor, and Now SFactor11... Man!! Shinymark was Insane!! It approachs So many good things for Shinymark this year, I really hope to see him in future tourneys and I'd like knowing how Pikachu can change the actual meta. Otherwise, the Shadic vs Sparg0 set was insane!! that comeback performed by Shadic was unexpected. Even though the crowd was against him, he knows how to handle that situation winning the set, even Sparg0 didn't expect that reverse 3-0 stock at game 4 and the read in the last stock at game 5. So sad he lost against Sonix shortly after.

A 35 minute video of S Factor is a highly abismal task to put out. You're one of, if not the best KZreadrs doing this kind of tournament recap videos. However, even if I havent finished watching this one yet, I'm sorry, but this is a severe mistake that has to be adressed: 3:21 AndresFn is not MEXICAN, he's SPANISH, from EU. XD

@@ShintaSmashA handful of things. Inkling's stature already make it to where sour spots pop out at inconvenient times (even at top level in the shown set), which only amplifies with Inkling's low dash. You can still catch it with down tilt and get a techchase at mid to high percentages, but that dash gets in the way of Roy's best combo and advantage state starters in jab and landing up air. Inkling is also able to keep up with Roy in all of neutral, advantage, and disadvantage, and even though they kill much later, they can tack percent onto Roy much easier than vice versa because of how slippery they are, said slipperiness helping make them harder for Roy to kill because the Roy player won't be landing as many big hits or combos that lead to long strings or big damage. Roy already struggles to get off the ledge often, but Inkling is one of the best characters at abusing that and covering multiple options through splat bomb+a handful of attack options. This tends to be where Inkling excels the most and gets their big advantageous situations that lead to them being able to seal out stocks easier than you'd imagine. The last point is edgeguarding. Inkling has a great recovery themselves, so they're not too worried about a reversal, and their quick aerial frame data and speed in the air make it fairly simple to flowchart Roy because of his fairly linear recovery. This wouldn't normally be such a big deal, but this becomes a much larger issue because Inkling is one of the better characters at getting you off stage for those flowcharts, and even if they don't seal out the stock, the Inkling player often gets a ton of reward. Far from unwinnable like I said in the original comment, Roy definitely still has his good points in the matchup, but I wanted to go more in depth and be as helpful as I possibly could with the explanation. Sorry about the response length
