She is just so right, our brains and there for our minds are literally the most complicated thing in the universe, and yet they put more funding into visiting the moon than they do mental health.

I am a new follower to this podcast, and i am really enjoying it. It's great to hear the viewpoints of other disabled people and see how they navigate society. As a former facilitator in Disability Equality Education, it is sad to see that in 20yrs nothing much has changed in terms of people's attitudes towards disabled people, especially in terms of access and the language used.

Its nice to find someone with the same condition as me . someone that will understand how you feel. an at the same time wishing i never find someone with the same condition because i would not want anyone to feel my pain.. its a rollacoster of feelings ..

i was born with my disability so i have been through this journey all of my life. So although i do now accept it because my disability changes as i get older it's a constant process of acceptance. i write a blog which i do find therapeutic as when things change for me physically i can simply use the writing process as a way of finding some perspective.

Lol the way you air-quote the word "doctored"... What... as if they aren't fake? Are you mad? Have you not seen them? Your so-called journalists are the ones that spread the BS doctored images in the first place. Thank god for Reddit is what i'd say..

As a blind person, (with a white cane and a guide dog) I’m a target for nosy rudeness. “I get asked”why are you blind”, “what happened to you? ” and “how does it feel to be blind” and “why can’t you just get glasses”? From complete strangers!

People love their tragedy porn too. People are always trying to trick ne into trauma dumping on them about my physical injury.

I'll tell you what shouldn't be going on. People need to shut their damn mouths... People need to realize that when they're looking at someone who's been injured, they need to shut their damn mouth. Especially since it's so obvious that the injury or whatever it is, has been around for some time.... I have part of a missing finger due to an accident from working on a friend's car that was 40 years ago!!! It happened when I was very young. It's been about 40,000 goddamn times that I've been asked the question... What happened to your finger? People are too damn stupid to realize that you have probably been asked that question the 40,000 times before and you're totally sick of being confronted to deal with it, about it and you're totally asked about the same damn thing over and over again. It's none of their damn business anyway... It's not that they don't have the language. It is because they're so damn arrogant and so inconsiderate that they won't even think of what that you've been through every year month week, day, of your damn life being asked that same dumb ass question and this only goes to the fact that people are insensitive, arrogant, don't have manners, ignorant, social skills and damn stupid!!!!!!

I was literally told that testing me for breathing issues was “impossible” because I couldn’t walk in a treadmill. When I complained, I was told that I’m already disabled so I should just cease being active. The worst part? We KNEW my lungs were scarred and damaged as I’d had multiple bilateral pulmonary emboli with a cavitary pulmonary infarction. In English, I had 5-6 blood clots in my lungs and part of my lungs died, blistered apart, then the blister ruptured. My d-dimer at diagnosis was well over 5,600. It took me 2.5 years to find a doctor who did ignore me due to my CRPS and autoimmune issues. The university hospital actually assigned me to their Pulmonary Hypertension specialist because my risk factors were through the roof. Less than 20 minutes after meeting her, I was prescribed oxygen. My hands became fully cyanotic (02 of 73) after only 90 seconds of walking. My core organs got oxygen but my limbs didn’t. Further testing showed my lungs were completely covered in scar tissue, I had reduced perfusion of both air and blood to both lungs, especially the lower lobes, and I had Reactive Airway Disease. I’m now in an inhaler that helps a bit and 4 L of oxygen and have my life back. This assumption that looking fine means you are fine pisses me the fuck off.

color coded organized books on the shelf behind the girl . Blue books on leftmost upper quadrant shelf. White books seperated from the rest on the lower layer, and lastly red books on the rightmost upper quadrant of the bookshelf. either entropy has spontaneously decreased, and those books randomly organized themselves that way, or it was orchestrated by a human hand, for design, effect, or aesthetic. I would reckon it probably took about 15-20 minutes to do, seeing that there are only 3 main color categories and no more than 100 books in summation, at least in view.

They really seem to despise disabled people. They get the hardest judgements against them, we’re always damned by everyone? and illegal immigrants get such superior treatment? It’s bewildering. I have just had my DWP interview for work. It wasted 1.5 hrs of everyone’s time? I have evidence upon evidence which no one ever chooses to read?? Why is the Govt.nso harsh? The United Nations is aware of the cruelty and financial restrictions of the UK! I worry Labour will be just as harsh as the Tories. - Keefy

Look honey lose the word the thought of pride it goes nowhere. First comes pride then the fall is how the Lord writes it in His word. Rather be thankful You made it thru this. Give thanks in all to the Lord for bringing You thru such. And pursue and give thanks to Him in all things.. He loves you❤❤❤❤

Pride is something celebrated that you accomplished. You cannot be "proud" you are disabled. I am proud of disabled people that overcone the odds. I'm one of them but God gets all the glory for making me a miracle, not me.
