Why did you switch to soft luggage? Has the bike been reliable? Any errors? The 1300 is an amazing machine…..
@mournesramblerАй бұрын
I am using the standard Vario luggage, but since there are two of us on one bike, we decided the hard luggage on its own (even fully extended) wouldn't be enough, so we have also brought soft luggage strapped to the top of the top box and panniers. That arrangement has worked well so far. We try to keep the heavier items, such as tools, lower down in the panniers to keep the centre of gravity lower. If you would like to know more about that, please see our 'what should we bring video?" Before we left I had to have the starter relay replaced which was a standard recall, but since then I've had no issues with the 1300. I find it much more manageable and considerably more lively than the 1250, so no regrets thus far. However, we are still less than a quarter of the way round our planned route, so there is still plenty of opportunity for challenges :)
