What cord is needed to tether a Canon R5 to an IPad Pro for this to work?
Does this still work in 2024?
Although we are no longer developing Capture Pilot at the moment, it is still available and should work as usual.
Hello. I was on a shoot the other day and the photographer I was working with showed me a trick where I could adjust the crop on multiple images at the same time just by selecting them all, and holding "shift" as I made the changes. It was mind blowing. I'm now trying to do it on my own computer, and it doesn't seem to be working. "Edit all selected" is enabled, and I have no clue what else it could be. Any help would be much appreciated!
Hey Alex. The crop wouldn't be adjusted all at the same time. They probably adjusted one, selected all, held down shift and clicked the little UP/DOWN arrow in the crop tool itself. This would then copy and apply the crop.
more of these videos pleaseee
Hello! Please tell me, when opening a session, it was created in a different version, is it possible to open it somehow?
If it was created in an older version, the session can be upgraded when opening into a newer version. But they are not backwards compatible.
Hi, is there a way for clients to crop and rotate images through Live? (while the main computer is busy with tethered shooting) If not, what would the solution be? Thanks
I am afraid that's not possible currently.
Love these. More please!
Very useful and great examples David.
Thanks Bill! / David.
Yes we do share Capture One live link with the customers in the same room.. Yes it is inefficient but for YOU! Since its overloading your servers. Our internet is unlimited anyway. And I am sorry I am not going to upgrade so that you reduce the load on your servers. 😂. Bad incentive to upgrade
Hi Wk. There is no overload on the Capture One Live servers. Capture One Live for Studio was created as a more practical solution when everyone is in the same place and there is no benefit to a cloud solution requiring internet.
The new features offered definitely do not worth additional $200 price increase, although that multi screen preview feature was something I was wishing for a long time. I will wait.. The most important feature that needs to be added is REALTIME COLLABORATION. It is when photographer can have his own copy running and 2 assistants can run different copies and all in real time and can all adjust images, rename them and create masks. Also please add a feature where LOG IN is enough to pull all customizations including workspaces, naming policies and export recipes, to the new install. We are tired of using third party workarounds to match the running copies. I can propose new features for studios and improvements for hours but want to keep it short. So many things need to be done before asking for 200% price increase.
I just want to use an iPad and Capture One for Client to wirelessly review images on location (without any other equipment other than a camera and an iPad). Is this possible? No cords, no high resolution images, no saving to anywhere other than the card in the camera. As far as I can tell, the only way to do this is by having C1 running elsewhere on a laptop, then connected to a router and then use Capture Pilot on an iPad. While not the worst setup, when you're on-location this becomes cumbersome and requires additional people to manage the inevitable troubleshooting as well as power for laptop, router and iPad(s).
Hey Steve. Capture One Live and Capture One Live for Studio are the two collaboration tools we offer. www.captureone.com/en/products/capture-one-live
Excellent tutorial - I am learning a lot from these. Thank you!
@CaptureOne when using Film Styles with Fujifilm cameras, would you recommend setting the tone curve to Auto or Film Standard?
Leaving the film curve on Auto means Capture One will use the Film simulation that was set in camera.
What an amazing experience that would be! Such interesting insight.
An amazing experience, thank you all!
It's a fantastic photography lesson that enriches any enthusiast. But also a great lesson for life, because I didn't know the belt for the shirt, to always be cool! Congratulations Alessandro!
By far BEST Capture One Live stream ever. Real! Alessandro spoke about engagement, this was that, engaging. Thanks very much.
@@neilgibb5265 Thank you Neil!
I totally agree. I feel like getting many details what I was not aware before which also gives me a perspective to be better doing photographs for myself.
What an unforgettable evening!!
@@tinaeisen8081 Thanks for hosting Tina. :)
Thank you!
OH MY GOD! Re-tether?!!? holy cow. this is amazing. need to buy an iPad STAT!
It's a great feature!
Can someone explain to me why I cannot change the shutter speed, the ISO or the F stop in the dialog box? Everything seems to be locked except for the shutter button. I have to change either one of these features on-camera. I am using Capture One 20 for Fuji. Thanks in advance.
Hi Chuck. Capture One 20 had a much earlier integration with tethering for FUJIFILM cameras. It’s been much improved in subsequent releases, including the latest release of Capture One.
Is there a tutorial for displaying the full image and cropped image on different monitors as displayed in this video? Would be great to utilize for HMUAs on set.
This Capture One Studio feature is explained here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/n6Wb1rCzqbyvprA.html
❤❤Thank you Zoe, thank you Capture One. I’m trying to break into portraits and this inspired me to go back and revisit recent work. MORE LIKE THIS, PLEASE 🎉
3:00 What if "Apply to new layer" is greyed out?
Hi, this can happen if some adjustments cannot be applied to a layer such as Black & White, Film Grain etc.
Thank you Zoe, great tutorial!
Unfortunately we don't offer phone support as the majority of troubleshooting requires files being shared, screen recordings etc. - all the things that would be difficult to handle via hotline.
@@CaptureOne comprends pas
Auch wenn ich schon einige Zeit mit C1 arbeite, waren doch einige interessante Neuerungen für mich drin. Freue mich schon auf die Fortsetzung.
I am getting the message "Cannot connect to the camera. Canon EOS R8 is currently busy" when I try to follow this method. How do get rid of that error message?? @CaptureOne
Our team may need to check several settings of yours to provide you with the accurate piece of advice. Please drop them a line at support.captureone.com.
I've got a lot more to learn
stuck on step one how to select the photos and move them into the composition
Could you show our tech team what goes wrong or why you are not able to proceed, please? Send them a screen recording at support.captureone.com, they will be happy to help.
I really don't like this....i payed full price for capture one pro, and you slow it down to get this that has nothing of interest to me...apart from speed. You guys start to disappoint me more and more.
I believe you got it all wrong. Pro was actually improved for speed, not slowed down. In the studio version they are offering some new features that are not needed for regular photographers. Although I also believe the new features do not worth extra $200. I operate 3 studios and I won’t be upgrading until they offer features that really worth that price difference. I was always wishing they had that multi screen preview option with crop for clients and digitech.
I just need a way to share my photos like you do with adobe stuff...this is no use for me. Really disappointing.
Thank you for your excellent video. How do I set up my shared photos to send me email updates on comments? I get a brief flash across my screen that says there has been an update, but I have no idea which photo they are referring to. When I scan the photos, there is no indication of a comment unless I open each one individually. Is there any chance we can get the small message icon on the bottom of the thumbnail to light up when there has been an update? Thank you
How open was the establishment to your idea of doing photography there on that Chicago rooftop? And how did you go about contacting them? I feel like many businesses will just think about the liability as you said and just say no...which is probably why other photographers will just shoot first and apologize later.
Paul has many relations with hotel chains. So as usual, a lot of these possibilities are due to networking and relationship building.
Is there a way to upload directly to Flickr? Is there a map feature to geotag the photos? does it support Open Street Map? I've installed and briefly tested Capture One few minutes. The software is very responsive, loads fast, zooms consistently fast, no slow downs so far. I will see. Lightroom is crazy slow at times and need to let calm down before it responds. and my PC is a beast.
There is a basic Smugmug plugin, but nothing for Flickr as yet. If the camera itself geo tags, then it's visible in the metadata, but its not currently possible to add your own geotag info.
Super vielen Dank für den Lifestream. Ich hoffe dass davon noch mehr kommen. Toll präsentiert. LG Tim

Is Capture Pilot going away? Sad to have to pay more to get the new one. Also, I shoot often from Capture Pilot when I need to be slightly away from the computer. Can you shoot from the new app?
Capture Pilot is staying for the meantime. You cannot currently shoot from Capture One Live for Studio. Feel free to make a feature request here - captureone.ideas.aha.io
The Z8 is closer to the R6 speeds if you connect it to a 5ghz wireless network instead of using the direct connect wifi which only uses 2.4ghz.
What about brush / clone features for instance to remove objects on the ipad?
Local adjustments are not currently possible.
Fantastic info , Neils dedication & expertise is incredible. really wants to make me swap to capture one. Only thing i noticed is the pro standard images looked a little softer? Maybe default sharpening is lower than generic?
