    What cord is needed to tether a Canon R5 to an IPad Pro for this to work?

    Although we are no longer developing Capture Pilot at the moment, it is still available and should work as usual.

    Hello. I was on a shoot the other day and the photographer I was working with showed me a trick where I could adjust the crop on multiple images at the same time just by selecting them all, and holding "shift" as I made the changes. It was mind blowing. I'm now trying to do it on my own computer, and it doesn't seem to be working. "Edit all selected" is enabled, and I have no clue what else it could be. Any help would be much appreciated!

  • @CaptureOne
    @CaptureOne8 күн бұрын

    Hey Alex. The crop wouldn't be adjusted all at the same time. They probably adjusted one, selected all, held down shift and clicked the little UP/DOWN arrow in the crop tool itself. This would then copy and apply the crop.

    If it was created in an older version, the session can be upgraded when opening into a newer version. But they are not backwards compatible.

    Yes we do share Capture One live link with the customers in the same room.. Yes it is inefficient but for YOU! Since its overloading your servers. Our internet is unlimited anyway. And I am sorry I am not going to upgrade so that you reduce the load on your servers. 😂. Bad incentive to upgrade

  • @CaptureOne
    @CaptureOne8 күн бұрын

    Hi Wk. There is no overload on the Capture One Live servers. Capture One Live for Studio was created as a more practical solution when everyone is in the same place and there is no benefit to a cloud solution requiring internet.

    The new features offered definitely do not worth additional $200 price increase, although that multi screen preview feature was something I was wishing for a long time. I will wait.. The most important feature that needs to be added is REALTIME COLLABORATION. It is when photographer can have his own copy running and 2 assistants can run different copies and all in real time and can all adjust images, rename them and create masks. Also please add a feature where LOG IN is enough to pull all customizations including workspaces, naming policies and export recipes, to the new install. We are tired of using third party workarounds to match the running copies. I can propose new features for studios and improvements for hours but want to keep it short. So many things need to be done before asking for 200% price increase.

    I just want to use an iPad and Capture One for Client to wirelessly review images on location (without any other equipment other than a camera and an iPad). Is this possible? No cords, no high resolution images, no saving to anywhere other than the card in the camera. As far as I can tell, the only way to do this is by having C1 running elsewhere on a laptop, then connected to a router and then use Capture Pilot on an iPad. While not the worst setup, when you're on-location this becomes cumbersome and requires additional people to manage the inevitable troubleshooting as well as power for laptop, router and iPad(s).

    @CaptureOne when using Film Styles with Fujifilm cameras, would you recommend setting the tone curve to Auto or Film Standard?

    I really don't like this....i payed full price for capture one pro, and you slow it down to get this that has nothing of interest to me...apart from speed. You guys start to disappoint me more and more.

  • @wktravelers
    @wktravelers16 күн бұрын

    I believe you got it all wrong. Pro was actually improved for speed, not slowed down. In the studio version they are offering some new features that are not needed for regular photographers. Although I also believe the new features do not worth extra $200. I operate 3 studios and I won’t be upgrading until they offer features that really worth that price difference. I was always wishing they had that multi screen preview option with crop for clients and digitech.

    Thank you for your excellent video. How do I set up my shared photos to send me email updates on comments? I get a brief flash across my screen that says there has been an update, but I have no idea which photo they are referring to. When I scan the photos, there is no indication of a comment unless I open each one individually. Is there any chance we can get the small message icon on the bottom of the thumbnail to light up when there has been an update? Thank you

    How open was the establishment to your idea of doing photography there on that Chicago rooftop? And how did you go about contacting them? I feel like many businesses will just think about the liability as you said and just say no...which is probably why other photographers will just shoot first and apologize later.

    Is there a way to upload directly to Flickr? Is there a map feature to geotag the photos? does it support Open Street Map? I've installed and briefly tested Capture One few minutes. The software is very responsive, loads fast, zooms consistently fast, no slow downs so far. I will see. Lightroom is crazy slow at times and need to let calm down before it responds. and my PC is a beast.

  • @CaptureOne
    @CaptureOne8 күн бұрын

    There is a basic Smugmug plugin, but nothing for Flickr as yet. If the camera itself geo tags, then it's visible in the metadata, but its not currently possible to add your own geotag info.
