  I got a 1999 honda Integra with aftermarket ecu so no obd etc.. is the some module I can hook all the sensors too and get the realdash app to read that data?

  Someone asked me how to have it turn on with they key. To answer, the tablet is always only sleeping and I have that switch on top of the panel which controls the screen, but I also have another switch which is an on-off switch to the tablet charging. The tablet is pretty much always left charging so long as I drive everyday. I turn it off from charging and power down the tablet if I will be days without driving. Also, there are a few apps that will power the screen on and off when charging is activated. You can use those or the switch. There are a few ways, you just may need to be creative or search the right app to work for you.

  Thanks Ryan. Unfortunately my house was recently destroyed by fire and this along with my entire truck were completely destroyed to the point where it's like they never existed. I will be working on a new one for my new truck and I will make a how to asap.

  lol who would i pay? there was nothing even close when i did that. but thanks bcuz that is actually a real compliment and beyond that I answered the first few questions and stated EXACTLY what I used to make it. If you guys cant figure it out with info I gave you should not be venturing down this path. This video was never a how to, just a whats possible. I dont have time to hold your hands.

  hiiiiiiiiiiiii! dude this is awesome! can you go into more details on how you did this? what programs and equipment you used on the tablet? from reading the comments i got that you used an android, zellor for the intercom and launcher 8 wp. but i was wondering on other equipment, for instance, any hubs? wifi wall plugs? outlets? could you list the equipment on your description above aboxe? this way we could all search ourselves for it on how to work them all. should not be that hard once we have them listed. i thank you kindly. have a nice day! a lot of people bellow also would love to know!   Thats great and all, but you are being cryptic about the actual information for the software/custom launcher you used on the tablet and what tablet that you used that actually fits an ipad mount. Too bad because you seem like someone that could be helpful because of your knowledge, but instead you choose to be an unhelpful showoff.

  Yashoo I also assume he is using a Rpi and home assistant or tasker with some hub system Wink, Smartthings, etc. and just using this custom launcher.

  Hi Jonathan, I think your home automation tablet idea is absolutely fantastic. I had a few questions: 1) What's the name of the custom launcher? Can you do a DIY on how to make it just like yours? Or even just a starter guide2) Can you program those buttons to turn appliances on/off rather than link it to an app? Like for instance, you press one of those buttons and it automatically turns on all the lights or a select set of lights? Any help would be appreciated!!

  They are just reverse wired to an outlet the runs somehwere below the control panel in the wall. Check my other vids and comments under them as I go into more detail about the GUI and other things, cheers!

  Thanks. What about the actual install though? The plastic face plate that you link for 20$ is just that, a face plate? What kind of bracket did you use the stabilize the tablet on the wall? Did you just run the usb cable down the wall cavity and tie into the outlet below? Thanks again.
