    I am still struggling with the pattern folding, I just don't see how it wraps around, especially with weird shapes, like when we have it twist around and switch orientations. Is it just something with more practice? Because I have watched this video at least 3 times and still get confused.

    Hi! Have you worked through our level 1 question bank carefully? Usually it's helpful to practice and make sure you understand the level 1 problems, then slowly progress to the harder problems, making sure you read through and study the explanations as you go.

    Is this a generator or is there a limited amount of problems?

  • @eruditionpat
    @eruditionpatАй бұрын

    Hello! If you're asking if we use problem generators on our course, we do not, as we feel that this would sacrifice the quality of our problems and explanations, and our problems' similarity to the real exam. We have around 1000 practice problems on our course, which were carefully analyzed to cover many types and subtypes of problems that come up on the real exam. We plan will continue to add more, but we will not be using generators to introduce 1000s at once, as we don't believe this will create a very efficient and effective PAT study experience. Thank you!

    Why not C?

  • @eruditionpat
    @eruditionpat2 ай бұрын

    C shows an extra narrow tunnel in the object (an extra set of dotted lines towards the center).

    This is great when we have loads of time but the toughest part of the PAT is timing. I know for me TFE is my hardest section so on the test is it okay to skip the section and move on to section that I am better at or will I not have time at the end.

  • @eruditionpat
    @eruditionpat3 ай бұрын

    Hi! We actually have an article on PAT timing here that we will likely make into a video soon - eruditionprep.com/dat/pat/resources/timing-on-the-dat-perceptual-ability-test. If there is a section of the exam that takes a lot of your time, we do actually recommend skipping this section and coming back to it on your end, so you don't have to rush in other areas and miss out on getting easier problems correct.

    If you're not studying for the DAT, let us know what you're using this video to prepare for and what other perceptual videos would be helpful! (DAT students are also welcome to comment on PAT vides that would be most helpful!)

    @14:29 Isn;t it that the on the 3, the dot that borders the 5, is not closest to 2, but fathest.

  • @eruditionpat

    On the 2 dot face, the dot that sits closest to the 5 face - when you bring those edges (colored in blue) together - also sits closer to the 3 dot face. Does this help?

    I think in example 3 the right answer should be C , I am not sure .

  • @eruditionpat
    @eruditionpat3 ай бұрын

    Thank you for your response! If you're referring to the problem containing a face with a square in the center, we can eliminate Choice C as discussed in video. Or - if you look at the map - in relation to the face with the center square, you can see that each fully shaded face sits clockwise to either a half-shaded face or another fully shaded face. Choice C shows a fully shaded face sitting clockwise to a blank faces, which does not match the map. Hope this helps!

    Can you make more videos on the TFE please with more difficult questions

  • @eruditionpat
    @eruditionpat4 ай бұрын

    Hi! Yes, now that we've created our foundational videos, we were already considering adding videos going over the hardest problems - including the problems most people miss on our course. We will likely prioritize TFE since a lot students struggle with these. Thank you!

    U said several times "turn ur head" but it dosent helpe because the eyes correct the shape directly.

  • @eruditionpat
    @eruditionpat5 ай бұрын

    Thanks for letting us know! That's great - it sounds like you're manipulating the object well in your mind. :) Some students have a harder time seeing how things would change orientation when turned or rotated, and some of them find that rotating their head to change their perspective is helpful. However, if it works better for you to NOT rotate your head, you should keep doing what you're doing!

    do you have the cross out feature during the real DAT?

  • @eruditionpat
    @eruditionpat Жыл бұрын

    Yes, you can cross out answer choices by clicking on the letter (A, B, C, D, E), or by clicking on the text if there is text there, as in angle ranking problems. This can help you keep track of what you eliminated. We also have this feature and other DAT functionalities on our course question banks and tests.
