As much as vans and rvs cost these days, this should come standard.
In Europe, there are some higher end RV manufactures putting these in :) I don't think it will be long before we see the same here. Some Van conversion companies have already started offering them here.

Good question that we often get. They are designed for bathrooms but not to be placed in the shower.
I plan to put one of these in my Skoolie build.
How noisy are they? Define power supply.
Cinderella designed their solution to be nice and quiet. It is no lauder then a dishwasher. It is a bit quieter when the exhaust vent is installed outside vs in the room. In all my years working here, I have never had one person call and complain about the noise so I guess it can't be too bad :) The power supply would depend on whether you purchase the Comfort electric model or the Freedom propane model. The electric model requires a 220v 10amp circuit and the propane model only requires a small amount of 12v DC power to run the exhaust fan.
You still have a black water tank on an RV to divert liquids. This translates to a lot of storage and removes most of the typical black tank issues (except typical prepare for smell abatement) ... especially if you don't want to use the grey tank space, but still dump the grey at designated stations [you just dump all waste tanks together]. Incinerators are great solutions, especially for full-timers (to offset cost) and when your fuel sources already match up well (to offset the power demand).
Solid bin on compost toilet doesn't smell and diverting urine into grey water doesn't make it black water, still grey water.

Oh wow, I just saw the video you are referring to and it sounds like they had a bad experience. We were not aware of this situation as it was handled by the distributor who manages their area. In terms of the maintenance, I would strongly encourage you to read through the manual as it clearly outlines the maintenance steps. They mentioned disconnecting the propane line once a week for the steam clean and this is not the case. Most of our customers, probably close to 85% come from previously owning a composting toilet and find the Cinderella solution to be a nice upgrade in many different areas including reduced maintenance and smell. In addition to my comments above, it has come to our attention that the specific toilet you are referring to was installed incorrectly and run for quite a while. The Fresh Air return is crucial to the functionality of the system. Any appliance or machine starved for air will fail prematurely. I believe there was some world travel mixed into their timelines which were left out as well but all that to say, proper installation, use and maintenance is key to enjoying the solution for the long run.
You say installation team, what exactly is that? Is it just a local handyman doing it or a gas and electrical guy?
That is a great question. This can change depending on where you live and the local building code. In North America, many customers will install the toilet / vent system themselves if they are handy and then have either an electrician or gas tech connect the toilet to power or propane. Sometimes they will just have the electrician or gas tech install the venting while they are there. The Comfort electric model requires 240v 10amps dedicated plug and the Freedom propane model requires a 12v DC or 120v AC power source and a propane connection. Both can be installed in just 2 to 4 hours depending on the location. Does it heat up the room when it is incinerating? I mean would it be a problem in hot summer days in a small cabin?
When the exhaust vent routed up the wall inside the bathroom, it might make a small difference in the temperature but most installs have the toilet against an outside wall and the venting is all outside the building. The vent pipe is only warm to the touch so it doesn't have a big impact.
What is the warranty and price including installation of this incineration toilet?

what happens to the urine? does it incinerate too?
That is correct. All waste is incinerated. Cinderella also as a unisex waterless urinal option for those who just need to deal with urine or want to expand the toilet capacity for larger gatherings. The urinal uses no electricity or propane but requires a drain.

Putting a liner in after you're done is a great idea because people forget - especially when you're busting! Looking forward to when you guys introduce an auto-liner or no-liner required solution though.
These reviews are great but why doesn't anyone ever actually show their Cinderella toilet in them?? Like -the set up for example. I think a large majority of the folks that check out these videos are looking to actually see the look of placement and orientation. How do we we even know they actually have one?? lol
Such a good point and looking back I wished I had taken a few more pictures and videos of the bathroom to overlay while they chatted :) I believe there are a few videos on our KZread channel that should help answer those kind of questions on placements and looks. So you have to pee while there is a burn cycle in process. What about that?
Great question! If there is an incineration in process, it will pause when the toilet lid is opened. Once you close the lid and flush the toilet again, it will continue the burn. 🔥

@@yogaasana6019 I hear you. Some locations consider urine black water and that means permits can be required and or a larger filter bed to dispose of it. That being said, Cinderella Eco Solutions does have a unisex waterless urinal (has a drain) for locations that allow for this type of solution.

Is this toilet safe for children to use?
That is a great question. The simple answer is yes. Cinderella put safety as a high priority. The toilet hatch will not open when you flush if the toilet lid is up. This mean there is no access to the hot chamber in the lower half of the toilet. A child would have to pop the front cover of the toilet off to access the ash container and this is designed with children in mind.
Just curious about something which would be better Gas or Electric? what's the wattage use? I live completely off grid using solar and electricity is something I watch closely. also I'm at 8500 ft in elevation and just read this product is rated for less then 5000 ft
The Gas, now called Cinderella Freedom (propane) model is designed for off grid locations as it only draws 1.3 amps during the incineration cycle at 12v DC and 4 amps on start up. As you have pointed out though, it does have limitations as to the elevation it is rated for. The electric model is rated for your elevation but it requires a 240v / 10 amp power source. The electric model consumes around 1.5 kw per flush. Let us know if you have any further questions.

Why do you need electricity if it's powered by propane?
Great question. The propane gas is used to generate the heat but there is a small amount of DC power required to run the exhaust fan, display, igniter (no pilot light) and hatch when flushing.
If i were to do it again i would go with the Cinderella. I have the incinolet and its just too loud. It also needs inside air to operate properly. Our cottage has no drafts so i have to open the bathroom window making my bathroom freezing cold in winter. Its not easy spending $2.3K on a toilet nevermind $5k but they are the perfect solution if you have no plumbing and dont want to handle waste. If you are gonna do it, do it right. Im still considering the Cinderella but now i have a 4 1/4" hole through my exterior wall thats higher than the required intake for the Cinderella. Need to think about this.
How long do they last and how often do you have to clean and change parts
Merry Christmas Eve :) Great questions. We have used one in our own shop for the employees now for over 3 years. When we visited the main service facility in Norway (where they are made), there were toilets that were 15 years old being serviced. They are a serviceable appliance and do require the filter to be changed every 4 to 10 years. This will depend on use and maintenance. The ongoing maintenance consists of emptying the ash container every 100 flushes or once a week if it is being used full time. The catalytic converter (air filter) does need to be flushed every 500 flushes. For some this can be once a year and for others it may be every few months. It all depends on the location and frequency of use. Hope this is helpful. For full details on how they work etc, feel free to download the manual off our website or send us an email.
Oh, HELL NO!!!! So you pay $6000 for the toilet, it breaks down within 10 months, the warranty doesn't cover it because, surprise, they fault the customer every time. And the answer to this is to have you buy ANOTHER Cinderella product an $800 urinal to "lessen the load" on the toilet that was supposed to do the job in the first place. Quite the racket. Run away!!!!
We wouldn't recommend this toilet for full time use or use in a climate with harsh weather conditions or for anybody that doesn't have 1000s of dollars to throw around or anybody that expects a company to honor their warranty claims.

@@melissamoskaluk3159 hi Mellissa. We bought our unit for full time use when really it was built for cabin/part-time use and not for the brutal winters of the Canadian prairies. We began to have difficulties within 3 weeks of installation and for the next year we were blamed for misuse/overuse, you name it by both the head company and the management at the Canadian satellite. It turned into a nightmare. It was only after I called them out on social media that the Canadian branch owner contacted me. I explained to him that the advertising campaign stating it is suitable for full-time use is misleading, the maintenance information is also misleading as to amount of manual labour required and frequency and inconvenience of cleaning. There was also no mention in the site that a winterization package should be recommended in harsh climates. I believe it is now following our battle with the company. The exhaust to the outside freezes solid so humidity builds in the chamber causing rusting of components. Also a problem unique to installation in a harsh climate. When I pointed all this out it was as if they had no idea. I think we bought a product that was being newly introduced for full-time use in Canada but the literature and appropriate additional requirements weren't yet in place. Also not disclosed in the information online, in videos or in print is just how often the components of the toilet will have to be replaced. Each component costs hundreds of dollars and expect to have to replace them within the first year. There were many, many points at which this company and their product fell short. It would have been much less painful if they had accepted responsibility from the outset and given us our money back rather than drag us through a knothole sideways for a full year before finally giving us a refund. If there is anything else just ask.
@@melissamoskaluk3159 I just noticed that your question has gone unanswered and thought I would comment. In this specific situation the toilet was not installed / used as per the manual which voided the warranty and parts wore out prematurely. Airflow is the lungs of the unit. We stand by each of our customers for the long term and it is our commitment to set up dealers who will do the same. In terms of using it through the winter, Cinderella has an Arctic Winter Kit so there is no issues on that front. If you plan to use the Cinderella solution full time in a tiny home or shop etc there should be no problems as long as you stick to the maintenance schedule as described in an earlier comment (also found in the manuals). As with your vehicle and any other product with filters and ware parts, you should expect to have to swap out parts at some point. When the unit is used full time, this will be more frequent. Just like your car tires would ware out faster if you drove it everyday long distance vs a short commute. When it comes to waterless incineration toilet solutions, Cinderella is on top in every category globally 😃

Don't do it! We purchased one for full time use. Family of four adults. Now with less than 1 years use we are having to remove it and pay for a conventional septic system and toilet. The unit is NOT high quality. Ours began to show fault within a month of use. And the company will find you at fault for anything that breaks to absolve themselves of warranty responsibility. It all looks great in a short, glossy video. We fell for it. The parts are exorbitantly expensive, the maintenance schedule is onerous, including having to haul the entire unit outside to flush it out from the back annually? No, wait....biannually? No wait.....every 500 bags? Ah, yes, every 1-2 months you say? In addition to the maintenance required after every 100 flushes. It is a $6000 mistake.

Don't do it!!! We started having problems with our Comfort model within 3 weeks of installation. Replacement parts cost a fortune and because all of the components are in the same enclosed, humid space it is a cascade of failures. Add to this the fact that the company will blame you every time for misuse, overuse and improper maintenance to absolve themselves of having to honor the warranty.
As mentioned in our emails, we hold customer service / satisfaction in highest regard as it does us, the customer and the manufacturer no good to do otherwise. Cinderella Eco Solutions has a strong warranty because they are confident from their 25 years of being in business that their solution will last for 15 plus years. Similar to a car and other appliances, one should expect (plan) to replace the air filter / "tires" at some point down the road depending on use and maintenance. This is something we try to cover in detail during the sales process. We have worked hard to support you from the beginning and remain committed to supporting you. We are excited to bring a great solution to customers looking for the best alternative to septic and want to stay away from composting toilet solutions.

As a side note, telling the customer they should buy a $800 Cinderella urinal to sit beside their malfunctioning $6000 Cinderella toilet to "lighten the load" on the unit because it doesn't work as advertised is only adding idiocy to ridiculous

It can be quite easily replicated as a homemade contraption, too. After all, it's just a box with a small lavatory sink inside and a toilet seat on top. I built one myself and plumbed it directly to the greywater system running out from the house to the garden. For # 2s I use a passively-ventilated, composting toilet located outside, as we usually do them only once a day on average. I couldn't be any happier with the results.
For sure Jose. I think you could replicate the concept. I believe one of the bigger advantages of the Cinderella urinal is the one way valve and special coating on the toilet bowl that both work together to prevent odor buildup :)
What kind of electric bills can you expect with this thing? I have a holding tank, in a super environmentally sensitive area and septics aren't permitted, it costs me about $600/year for pump outs. And the tank itself cost my about $6k to install myself.
That is a great question. I assume you are referring to the electric model and not the propane model. We have found the electric one we use full time at our shop consumes an average of 1.5 kW per flush. If you are flushing the maximum amount per hour, you might get a little better efficiency so it depends on what setting it is being used in.
it's great when it works. Mine doesn't work properly. the hatch jams with the second flush.

We hear you! This only applies to the Freedom propane model and may change down the road. How far does your overhang stick out from the building? How hot does the exhaust pipe get? Can I run it between a wall or does it need to vent directly outside?
Not that hot David. Yes, you can run it inside the wall if you want. A nice option when you are installing the toilet in a new construction :)

I noticed you didn’t add the fresh air vent was it needed. I’m concerned if I do it’s just going to break with -20 below air when I can crack a window
For this installation, because there was a crawl space under the building, we put the air intake through the floor right under the toilet. This minimizes the effect of outside temperatures on the bathroom. In this case the Cinderella sat right over the drainage hole of the old toilet it was replacing so it also saved having to patch up the floor :) The problem with opening the window is that it can be forgotten or someone could come close it that doesn't know it needs to be open. If you are installing the electric model it is a closed loop system and would come through the wall into the toilet or through the floor into the toilet through a 90 elbow.
Can one b put in a trailer house?
We have some customers who have put them into stationary trailer homes. Most people are waiting for the Cinderella Motion to be available as it is only sold in Europe right now. It is designed for moving vehicles and is a better fit for the smaller bathroom space usually found in an RV or mobile home.
@@incineratingtoilets Hi. Before I search engine, can you share the American price, dimensions, and other advantages/differences for this other RV model, please? So far, I'm I think I'm more interested in a camper conversion van, as opposed to an rv. So, the size will be the main difference, for me(?) btw, I like shorter 'squatty potties,' and saving space sounds ideal, too. I travel alone. So, I'm not worried about usage while driving, personally. Also, when would this more portable model be readily available to the States, please? Thank you, for your time. 😊

As you are probably aware, the Cinderella Travel model is currently only available in Europe and Scandinavia. We do not have a release date for North America yet. I assume you are speaking of the connection to the back of the toilet. On the back of the toilets you have a 1/2 NPT male brass fitting. We recommend installing a flex line with a shut off to the back of your toilet before going through your wall with a hard line or whatever is required by local building codes. This will make it easier to pull the toilet out for seasonal maintenance.
Sounds like the user passes gas then passes gas again to dispose of the waste.

Happy Canada Day Joseph. Most of our customers outside our area would hire an electrician or a licensed gas tech from their local area. They might not have installed a Cinderella specifically but the process is well within their capabilities. Especially gas fitters as they install many propane appliances that require venting etc.

Depending where you are located, there are options. We have many customers who have placed them in their Airbnb or cottage that they rent out. There are also dealers out there who like us, have one in their showroom. For those, you can check out the dealer map on Cinderella Eco Solutions website.
Daily costs associated with the Cinderella?
Depending on the model, you would have your propane or electrical costs and then your bowl liners (1 per flush). To find out your daily costs, you would need to know your average amount of flushes and your local hydro or propane costs. Not a daily cost but as with any serviceable appliance, you should budget a small amount for when the time comes 5 to 10 years down the road. Things like the fan, heating element or air filter (catalytic converter) will need to be replaced at some point. Hope that helps.

@@GENECARP Yes, you would want to use a bowl liner and then flush after each use. The bowl liner controls what the waste touches on the way down when the hatch is opened as well as it helps it get to the ash container when you flush :)

@@GENECARP This is in part why Cinderella has the unisex waterless urinal. It requires no power or propane, bowl liners or water. It does however need somewhere for the urine to drain to. A filter bed or holding tank. This could vary depending on your local municipal bylaws. In a lot of places, urine is considered grey water so it is easy to deal with.
Ok, I know the toilet can handle both urine and fecal waste, but they also have a toilet just for urine. Is separating the urine from the solid waste make for a quicker, more efficient burn, or does it not matter at all?
Great question Bruce! The main purpose for the Cinderella waterless unisex urinal is to increase capacity of what the incineration toilet can handle per hour while saving on bowl liners, electricity or propane. If you have two bathrooms or lots of guests all the time, then it may be worth considering the unisex waterless urinal instead of two full incineration toilets. Otherwise the Cinderella is designed to handle both urine and fecal waste and is very efficient. It can easily handle 4 flushes per hour.

This tech has been around for awhile. I first used an electri toilet at the Fairbanks Ak “Country Club” in 1969.
