  23:40 my hot take is that Mabel is underdeveloped, especially compared to Dipper. Like, they’re supposed to both be the main character of the show, but Dipper gets SO MUCH more development and complexity than Mabel throughout the show, and Dipper is generally just the focus of more episodes. Mabel deserved better!!!!

  There's actually one good counter point to deny Third Party Theory in spite of it's vagueness: Spamton was specifically said to use a phone to talk to the strange person (Gaster) giving him advice. If the Shadow Crystal was a tool for Gaster to communicate with those who held them, why would he instead talk to Spamton through the phone? And if he can simply make a call through a phone and talk directly, why would he need some magical crystal communicator?

  what if ralsei was like an avatar for the dark world? I have no evidence but it'd kinda explain y they dissappear upon 0 hp and also how they know names and can cross between dark worlds. Putting your soul within an object allows you to control it... I dunno. I'm grasping at straws here but take it as u will

  @jarujaruj 48:21 , no sir. You see. I dont know how it is in the US, but in where i live, homeless people are not homeless because 'theyre just poor, or unlucky', no. They use the money you give them for another dose. You dont give a homeless man money, not because youre a bad guy, but because you do not want the time youve spent to work, going to some drug trader or something. Homeless men (yes men, ive never seen homeless women, probs because they can just sell their body.) Are not poor because they are poor, if that were the case, then there would be a lot more empathy to these people, but when you see a homeless guy, whos walking around drunk, harrassing women and children on the street. Hes nit just, mentaly ill, he is high. And thats where yiur kindness went

  Surprised "Hope" (or "Hopes") isn't one of the main Single Concept Theories. For me it sounds like the obvious one. It pretty much fits every use of the term as long as you don't get stuck in grammar. Offering hope to Kris as a reward makes sense as a "you help me, I help you" contract (It's not a physical reward, but it doesn't have be one), and even the "every [hyperlink blocked]" line fits perfectly as a promise of offering Kris everything they want, whatever that may be. It also fits the idea of them being controlled possibly making them incapable of hoping for a different fate. As for the more odd cases, having the luxury of a little hope in the morning is a natural way of describing having a better life, Kris "making" hope in the Weird Route makes sense when you consider they're escaping the constraints of the prophecy, this creating the opportunity for the future to change (The next paragraph also not only fits, but in a pretty interesting way too. If [hyperlink blocked] is replacing the word "hope", then this would literally be Spamton spelling out the meaning of [hyperlink blocked] by listing said hopes) Spamton transferring his hopes into the disc fits perfectly with him putting the plan's execution in Kris' hands. The only instance it doesn't fit is "I'll become so", but that's just because of grammar, which Spamton isn't a fan of. Thematically it could easily fit there since that dialogue is all about his hopes for the future. If there's any counter argument I can think of for "hope", it'd be that the weird route specifically involves us forcing Kris to do things they hate a lot more than what we do in the normal route, so you could say it'd give them LESS hope, rather than more. But that's a pretty uncertain argument, since the weird route is less about forcing Kris to do things or making them suffer, and far more about going against the natural flow of the story, something that inherently creates room for hope if your current future seems hopeless. Also, Spamton constantly comparing Kris' wishes to his own doesn't necessarily mean Kris actually wants the same things he does, it could just be Spamton projecting and misjudging Kris' desires (their situations are clearly different after all, with Kris' ability to take off the SOUL and act on their own, as well as Spamton not being clearly puppeteered like Kris but instead seemingly just limited and constricted) For Spamton, breaking the mold might seem like the very definition of hope, which that could explain why he says it like he does in that route. "Hope" is unorthodox in how it'd fit Spamton's lines (probably why not many people think of it), but it works with the arguments for many of the other words at the same time (like "choices", "power", "control" and "happiness") while not really having any of the counter arguments for them. It's a broad word that you could argue wouldn't mean much, but it's one that fits perfectly in a thematic sense. (PS: You mentioned when talking about "power" that it'd be odd for Toby to replace a generic word with [hyperlink blocked], but I disagree on that since the point of doing so isn't necessarily to create mystery, it could also be to create atmosphere. The use of [hyperlink blocked] is a HUGE part of what makes Spamton terrifying and gives him such a high creepy factor, which is alone enough reason for Toby to do it. I'd also say hope is a lot less generic than power, as it has a much deeper meaning, not to mention Toby's already used it for important characters before) I really like the idea of "hope" because it makes [hyperlink blocked] not be some specific mystery thing separate from the other things Spamton talks about, but an encapsulation of all of them. It's important not for it's meaning necessarily, but for it's emotional impact, which makes more sense to me since Spamton's story is already concluded.

  Ralsei's name is an anagram of Asriel's first name, so if the Hammer does exist, his name would probably be an anagram of Gerson, not Gerson Boon. And while that'd definitely not be the name, I do find it a very, very interesting coincidence that "Goners" is technically one.

  The thing that makes me believe this most is that, there is no better and more satisfying explanation as to what Ralsei is or why he exists. This is the best writing I could think of to make a backstory for Ralsei.

  All other ideas of Ralsei seem really lame. Ralsei is just the pink horns? Like he's just a regular ol' darkner and Asriel still exists out there? Way to ruin such a big built-up mystery. Toby wouldn't do that. It doesn't even make sense writing-wise to make 2 versions of the same character and make a mystery out of it. Ralsei is an embodiment of Kris' desire to fit in? No? Ralsei is he/him and Kris is they/them. Ralsei is just evil and his sweetness is fake? That's bad character writing Ralsei is just Asriel in a costume? Seriously? That's really lame There is literally no better written explanation, to both make the mystery behind Ralsei satisfying, and to make the build up for Asriel coming to town interesting, while keeping their character writing intact.
