  Good morning. I had one with black interior. I bought it new in September of 2000. Moved out of the US in 2013. Took it with me. Sold it in 2022. Bought a new Tacoma. I had 289,000 miles on it. The only repair was the front calipers. Great car! I had tear in my eye when it drove away. I see it once in a while. I kinda wish I had kept it. The inline six is smooth as silk. I couldn’t afford the v8 at the time. Enjoy the car. Keep it. Good to see someone appreciate it as I did.

  very nice! i have my dads 1988 fifth ave. had to do some little things to it but is a pretty clean car with 21850 miles now. im not sure what to do with it just yet or how much it is even worth.

  Such an amazing car that you have there and my parent's had one to back in the day and I wish that they would of kept it but instead the motor went dead and then it went to the junk yard.

  I love seeing this car in the optional two tone exterior paint treatment. That color combination is just stunning. Also i love that it has the traditional analog guages instead of the optional digital dash too. So many were ordered with the digital instrumentation that it's a breath of fresh air to see one without in my opinion. Just a lovely car.

  Glad to see you did that!! I picked up a 70 charger rt that was rotting away. I figured with prices of parts and labor so high even if I don’t completely restore the car at least I saved it for someone else to finish when I’m gone!

  Assuming the yard got the information right, the first one is a 1967 LeSabre Custom with the VIN for the win: 4 for Buick, 54 for LeSabre Custom, 69 for four door sedan, 7 for 1967 model year, V for Bloomfield, MI assembly and the rest is the production sequence. If that refers to the Flint, MI Buick "home" plant, that operated from 1904 to 1999. You didn't get the other VINs, so I can only speculate on that, but the 1978 Cadillac DeVille would be something like: 6 for Cadillac, D for DeVille, 47 for two door, S for 425 V8 with four barrel, 8 for 1978 model year, possible Q for Detroit, MI (Clark Street, closed in 1987), or E for Linden, NJ (closed in 2005) and the rest is the production sequence.

  Hey again Dave. I need to charge the AC for this car. I noticed it has the 134a fittings installed. Did you convert the R-12 to 134a or just install the fittings to use a modern manifold with R-12?

  1977 I drove my 1971 cuda from Boston to Fitchburg, Mass. to see these guys, great live band, got pulled over on the way home by state police tripping on a few hits of acid, 3 friends and a huge cooler of beers, I'm outside trying to not get arrested while my friends crank the stereo laughing and howling,I wasn't drunk and I talked my way out of it, thank you to the Very kind officer.

  Why didn’t you talk about the SS stitching on the seats or the floor shifter, rear end, exhaust and suspension??? All of that is different on the 96 Impala SS.

  So this was a quick guide to help people determine if they’re 94 through 96 Chevrolet was a true impala SS. This was not a discussion about the 96 and it’s unique floor shifter. There are so many clones are out there that have ithe seats switched out and of course the exhaust was the the same on the B4U and the 9C1 Caprice. I also did not mention the tire pressure decal because those are often switched out as well.

  I know I was really surprised it was there. Once this particular yard buys a car, it is scrapped and will sit in the yard for a couple months then be crushed. They will not sell a whole car.
