Old sunfish don't have a block at the deck so there is a little hook you can place your mainsheet on to give you some extra leverage.

It was on the sound end of lake Michigan by New Buffalo/Union Pier. The Sunfish are fun but hard to handle in waves bigger than this video

Lots of water in the cockpit at the beginning. Does it self bail?

they have a small self bailer but yea it took a while to empty the boat with me kicking water out and the bailer working once through the surf.

@@jonathanmccord9181 Thanks, and yea I ended up putting a kink in the upper boom it wasn't super deep and it ran across the ground and bent. Otherwise the boat was fine.

And with a tiny #3 too! We did the Miami to Havana race on a Hobie 33 and hit 23+kts surfing downwind with an AP kite. Equal parts terrifying and exhilarating.
