  This has become normal and complete out of hand this uncontrolled corruption with commercial fishing whipping out the salmon runs! What is bad also is 90% of commercial fishing is done by nonresidents that just give Alaskans the big middle finger and haven't a care at all that fishing tourism was the backbone of life for thousands of resident Alaskans to make it through the winters.

  @@Bartheo Did you know every member of the Alaska fishery's board that set fishing seasons is now a commercial fisherman! How is that not corruption in your face! They don't care at all about sports fishing - sports fishing tourism or local's subsistence fishing it is all about cleaning out the fish for massive money and greasing the hands of corrupted politicians like the Murkowski political criminal family.

  Just shift where the car launch happens, it's almost like a right of passages to live in Alaska. If I ever move there my car is getting launched even if I have to find a different cliff in which to do it from!

  I remember a hot July day in 1977 where I waded out into the Chena on the Chena Pump side side of the Chena river a little downstream from Pikes Landing. I was thinking about swimming across to save myself a few walking miles into town. Didn't look very far but even at 90 degrees outside the water was cold. I was 21 years old and a good swimmer. I changed my mind and walked. Probably a good idea. That cold water is NOTHING to mess around with. After 3 or 4 minutes your limbs won't work.

  Which is the more likely reason that the police don’t seem to be taking things too seriously because of race or because they’re usually street people dumped in Anchorage from surrounding areas by their families because they have serious problems that the families are ill equipped to deal with?
