kinda get where you're coming from, but imo you needa be doing a kind of personal statistical analysis to escape your biases. yeah lifting 'your way' feels good, but what feels good is not always what gets you what you want. some ppl get the best pump and feeling lifting tiny weights for 20+ easy reps, doesn't mean they'll actually out grow someone going to failure. until you measure the results of your actions you're not really in any better position to argue with statistics, and when you do you'll likely realize you're pretty close to everyone else in most things, simply feeling like its a good idea or you'd prefer to do it doesn't mean shit

Well, we owe you a thanks too! I feel like following other people who are constantly trying to improve themselves benefits me as well because it keeps me in that thought environment, which is difficult to get from other places, since most people we spend time with don't really have the same ideals and mindsets like us. Getting bits of these books from you keeps reminding me of the important concepts that come up from time to time in almost every self help book, and makes me think everytime about how I could apply it to my life, which doesn't happen when I just read a book and then keep it aside for eternity. So yeah, thanks to you too.

In the 48 laws this is a mask used to eventually become a guilt weapon and im pretty sure it was for someone in distress or someone who is disliked like a mean boss so it can highlight how differently u treat them and blind them from your true intentions and give you an advantage and a new alliance because there’s strength in numbers but they are only a tool to you not a genuine friend.
