Hi!
I am passionate about Shaping, Glassing and other surfboard projects.
I’ve been shaping since 2017, but I would not declare my self as an expert.
Everytime I put a surfboard I shaped into the water the exlamation it is always the same "GALLEGGIA" (it floats).-
These passion lead me to produce some board's for me and friends enjoying Italian Waves.
Since I was young I enjoyed the process of making things with my bare hands, so my garage is my second house where I create Surfboard and Stuffs and also spending Time with Friends.
Feel free to comment and ask me anything, I will try to answer my best.
Also, if you want me to Build/Create something in Particoular just ask in the comment or e-mail.
I Like to Challenge Me.
Thanks for watching!

What brand epoxy resin you are using sir?
more tail rocker plz !
Do you Paint It before laminate?? Good job. Is acrilic Paint no??
Epic! Love the uneat lap line on the top. Keen to try it
I really enjoy watching you 👍🏾
Nice shape and those rails...
The waste of cloth and resin is reprehensible. I never waste any resin. The cloth always gets used for ding repair or fins etc. The guys I've known who glass throw away so much !
Hi! It's EPS or XPS? What density of foam did you use for this board?
Sorry for late reply, But I took a period of youtube! EPS not superfused.
Hi mate, I have same issue on my board and going to fix it myself (never done that before). Would you mind to advise what material did you use. Thanks.
Just see It now, i was off KZread for a while. Hope your fix went good!
Nice video :) I like the zip tie fix on the pencil too hahaha
Nice work man
Nice concave.
你这个是eps内芯,还是pu内芯
EPS from block cut. Not sueprfused
Nice work mate! Is this a PU foam or EPS?
do you both sides with the microballoons? you flip it while it is still tacky? never mind!
Ei. Sorry for late rep. Yes I do both side. I wait to flip it. Or insted I tried laminate bottom while is still tacky. then flip it, seal it wait 1h and laminate top.
@@cerritosway are the microballoons necessary? my local pro shaper uses exclusively eps foam and epoxy resin and does not use the microballoons, and his boards are amazing, extremely light and never lose that lively feeling.
@@xisotopex not necessary all. The are different Eps foam. If your local shaper use Eps super fused, the beads Will be tight and wont suck much resin. Instead when you use a block cut eps there Is more space between beads, so It Will suck much resin in. You can use epoxy+microballon, someone use only resin, others use no sealing and just put extra resin into the Lam process.
I put the fin boxes in first and laminate over them, a lot stronger. Free lap is cool, I like using tape and cut the lam right before it kicks with a razor blade, way less sanding.
I hate sanding too... But It Is party of the process... I find valid to use a rigid plastic roller, when the lap Is still soft to flat down the lap. Les sanding good Result.
Hi! Did you use the router with some kind of guide? How do you keep the resin out from the plug slot and the screw when you applied the last cloth? did you cut the cloth over the slot with a knife?
not exactly sure how he did it, but just put some tape over the holes. And cut the cloth with scizzors
What grid to do 'finish' sand eps?
PLEASE MOR VIDEOS!!!
attacca un aspirapolvere alla pialla...
Precioso trabajo, felicidades. Un saludo desde las islas canarias
Looks like you're working in the snow rasping that EPS. Nice contours G
Good call on the free lap. Epoxy swirls notoriously difficult, I wonder if entropy would be better than kinetix as it's much thinner? Nice video man
Sorry i was off you tube for a while. Entropy clear Is Better, right know i am using resin research an it mix well and It s more fluid.
Good man
Muy buen video y trabajo! Como sabes o como elijes que medidas usar en los Rails.. por ejemplo primero marcaste 1/8 and then 2 1/4... de donde sacas esas medidas? Muchas Gracias!!
What’s the point of a carbon stinger?
You should ask BIG Industry. They say it helps Rebound and Strenght into the board. But I have seen many stringerless Surfboard broke in half.
@@cerritosway I wasn’t being sarcastic in any way. Was just honestly curious because it seemed so thin.
@@MD69BarrelKilla sorry It's just me that I am bit skeptic about carbon striger. I use it becouse market use them and It is always carbon fiber so it will add strenght, but I am not so sure about it. Last time time I have seen a thick carbon striger from a notorius brand broken in half, so it deepence most on how you use the board, If you land a big air in a bad feet position or a big close out on the board It will broke the board. Stringerless board need a stronger cloth lamination otherwise is too wick also with a carbon stringer.
@@cerritosway yea I agree. If the board is going to break it’s going to break. I can’t see the carbon stringer helping too much.
@@cerritosway I use S-Glass for the extra strength, in addition to the fused carbon for the kinetic recoil
What blank did you use for this specific board?
Ola Pedro! I used a BLOCK Cut peace of EPS around 30kg
how do you reinforce the board without stringer?
It is a must to use stronger cloth. I use 6oz(200g) on bottom lamination and 4+6oz (100+200g) on top Lam. Plus Carbon Stringer.
Muy bueno sencillo rápido espectacular
Muchas Gracias Jorge
So if I’m doing carbon strips on the tail is it just for looks or does it do something, if so do they have to go a certain way?
Let's say it will reduce foot dent and give a bit more strenght. It is still carbon fiber, so it will give more strenght to sensible part such as tail
Lay up a test swatch on a piece of scrap foam and that will be your evidence to what strength it offers
For looks only. It is not a stringer and therefore foot dents will only be a matter of time. ☝🏿🧐
How come your're microballoon residue is so white? I did it but my board hasnt gotten any whiter it kept kinda transparent. And when i add more microballoon it gets to thick?
Footage and light enanche the brightness. But I use Kinetix 110. The R110 uses a custom designed UV Optical brighter and create superior whiteness and the highest levels of UV stability.
Hello! I really enjoy watching your videos! Could you tell us what sand paper grades you use during this steps: From 2:46 to 2:52 From 4:38 to 4:48 And from 8:36.. Thank you very much!
Hey Damaro, Sorry for late replay. When I lower down the lamination lap i use like 40/60 grit to go faster. For sanding the glass part at the end i usually start from 150 to 400 grit. Hope Is helpfull.
@@cerritosway thank you!!! I appreciate :)
send me your facebook brother

Hi, great video! How is the glue mixture that you use to insert the plug made of?
Sorry for being late. Is epoxy resin + microsphere glass
Is this board EPS foam? If so, did you seal it at all? I am about to glass and not sure if I should seal mine!
If you finish It really Smooth no Need for sealing. In any case use a bit more resin when you laminate.
Looks great. You're using EPS foam, right? What grits of sand paper do you like to use to work your way from rough shaping to finishing?
Yes its EPS. I start with 40 grit, and i keep It using It almost till the end. Then I skip to 60/80 for the finish touch. I notice that if i work slowly It works fine.
How you paint the stringer?
There Is no stringer on This board. If you mean how i trace the center line, i used a water marker.

Grande Marco.. sono sicuro che andrà così! L'hai finita?
How do you know where to put the lines for the rails
Hi Carson. I use 3d shape software to print rail template and deduct Marks. But on This One i went with standard Mark wich where 2 and 4 inches on deck . On rail 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 from bottom.
Ok Thanks!!
@@cerritosway Hi Cerritos. One question : I have Demo Shape 3D and I Can't print rails and outline. Help me?
HI FRank! Take a screen shot of rail section. Use Photoshop or similar to scale it in real size, then print it on A4 paper.
very good work and i really like it
Appreciate It man!
@@cerritosway thank you brother for all the knowledge
Awesome
Too bad you don't explain where to place your landmarks and the apex!!! thank you for your video
Thanks for your appreciation. What would you like to know exatcly? I will help you if I can.
@@cerritosway the video and great and congratulations for the work. I would like to see how to knock down the rails. how to draw the lines in order to cut the rails (angles)
@@romuyou3697 Thanks for the time you spend to watch and comment. You would like to see a specific board size?!
@@cerritosway hi!!! No just a shortboad! see how to place the apex according to rails (boxy or other) and how to knock them down! see how to place the markers for cutting the rails. thank you for this work
@@romuyou3697 For short board I use 2 and 4 inches on deck mark, going trough nose and tail I divided by half. On rail, starting from bottom, I usually mark it the bottom tuck at 0.4" (1cm) and the middle mark between 1" and 1" 3/8 (2.5cm and 3.5 cm). This second mark will determinate your boxy or knify rail. Is diffult to explain it on words I will try to make a video sooner.
Hermano! A partir del minuto 1 el Video se pone negro! Pero venía muy bien!!!
Shit Man! I did not notice. It was a short section, it actually end when it get black and the continue on the next video I Uploaded.
Board looks good but you can shave off lots of time if you did the futures box route out and set them before you did the carbon . Not only does it save tons of time its essentially a lot stronger as the boxes should be capped with the same glass that the board is glassed with plus extra patches - thats the real meaninb of fused . if you are worried about air use a blade and pop the bubbles near curetime. After the flip amd before the hotcoat open up the boxes with a grinder , keep moving around so they dont soften the glass ..this exposes any air bubbles that get opened up during the pre sand. Hope you found this helpful grasshopper!
Thanks Peter. I appreciate It. I usually route boxes before laminating bottom, this time i got confused by carbon stringer application and i went straight to lam. I Will keep your message as guidance.
I don't understand why they don't make blanks with an actual carbon stringer instead of wood.
It could be and idea.
Because it would be a bitch to shape cuz of how hard carbon is
👏👏👏
Nice! Thank you. If you are spraying acrylic paint on the foam, would you seal (epoxy + micro balloons) the foam before spraying the paint or after?
I never try to spray Paint on the foam. EPS would melt if you spray Paint directly
@@cerritosway I said acrylic. Acrylic is water based and won’t harm eps.
@@joeblow1942 Oh ok, I misunderstood, scusami! I think I would first seal the blank and then spraypaint, becouse epoxy+microballoons create a kind of white layer, so it will ruin the color.
@@cerritosway Thanks! I took my board to a glasser last June and he did nothing so I just got it back and I’ll glass it myself. Problem is, he sprayed it yellow without sealing it first. (1.5 lb eps.) Question: Since he already sprayed it yellow, should I seal it with straight epoxy (with no microballons) or forget sealing and just start laminating? What would you do?
@@joeblow1942 whitout having a look a It Is difficult to Say. But if you feel that It Needs a sealing you can do It with only Epoxy. Try not to squeege with to Much pressure otherwise some beads can pop off. Also when resin dry, you should give a little Sand, try to be gentle to not scratch the Paint.
