  Losing a fur baby is a gut wrenching heart breaking event. They give us unconditional love , we have to pay them back by letting go when they are ready. Dog lovers are the best.

  The first time I heard this song I was in Myrtle Beach, SC at the Pavillion playing pinball or maybe skee-ball. Now when I hear Nights In White Satin, I'm immediately rushed back to Myrtle Beach in my mind. I can almost smell the sea air, cotton candy, popcorn and candy apples. I can also hear the sounds of the pinball machines. All of this in a moment of time. It wonderful how a song can stir up memories from your past.

  The original lyrics were a bit different. Instead of 'so much cavalry came" its "Stoneman's cavalry came". Then they is a date, "by May 10th Richmond had fell". Copywrite issues maybe. Anyway, I saw an interview with the man who wrote it and he was a really interesting guy and how he wanted to tell the story from the Confederate side. It's a really moving song. Ken Burns documentary on the Civil War told through correspondence between all kinds of people at that time is just the most moving, heartbreaking tale of those times. It was on PBS some years ago. If you can find it you should watch it.

  The music lyrics and vocals, bring emotions back from a first love and heartbreak, it is hauntingly beautiful! It could open scars that once healed in time, and sometimes in dreams the heart is still vulnerable! Reality says you were just a kid, what did you know about true love. Glad I finally found it 35 years ago!
