  The street crossings of the tracks should have flashing red crossing signals. There's enough rail traffic to warrant crossing flashers.

  It varies. When they arrive to do a block swap they definitely block hay street for a while. As far as the number of trains I think most pass thru at nite.

  RJ Corn now owns the line from fuqua-varina not sure if all the way into Raleigh.. NS still has the line between F-V and Sanford.

  You were standing directly across the street from where my mother lived in the 1960s. The house has long since been torn down. You were standing on the property which was once Shamburger Oil Company - again long since torn down.

  That's something impressive to see; extremely long train loaded with military vehicles sat in the middle of the road stretching through Downtown. Loved seeing the drive-around.

  Interesting, didn't expect both sets of horns to be blowing at the same time... I would've thought the k5 is only used going forward, and the k2 in reverse
