How are the acoustic panels working for you? Even on YT I can easily hear so much reverb that I can't imagine you hearing any difference in a once inch movement of isolation cones. I do have the black diamond on my Antique Sound labs amp and have very well damped rig. Lucky that my room isn't having a reverb problem and the room is an addition with its own power.

I bought three of these devices, plugged them in at the routers, and let me tell you this, they work. I have not even gotten to my audio gear, I am still on the video streaming boxes. Everything is improved, especially my internet speeds. There was a bit of a lag in the internet, that is gone, and the speed of page loads is now nearly instant. The video streaming is faster in regards to changing channels and load times, along with a touch better PQ. For $89, what do you have to lose? I am keeping these. On edit: I have both Verizon and Xfinity ISPs in my house, so I needed two of these ifi units. I am going to play around with the third one I purchased and see what happens. ;-)

Nakamimichi decks are out of this world! I started hunting for a Nak deck 15 years ago. Always wanted one when l was a student but couldn’t afford it of course. So 15 years ago bought myself a CR1 and learnt to service it from forums. Had to buy an oscilloscope and a bunch of test tapes including take up torque tape. Having changed the belt and tuned the deck l was astonished at how good prerecoded cassettes can sound. Analogue magic. And then wondered how a higher end Nak could sound. So l then got myself a Bx300 and ditto serviced , tuned, and caliibrated it. Belts were from Marrs, USA. Holy molly….l was in heaven with even better sonics and the recordings even on lowly TDK D ferrics were awesome. For some reason recordings made from CDs sound even better than the CDs. Warm and lifelike for lack of better words…. Cut a long story short now l also own two 480 decks, a 680zx, an RX505 ( what a beauty this baby is), a ZX9 and yes a CR7A (the best recording deck in my books with its computerised autocalibration). The ZX9 records very good too but the manual metered calibration 400hz and 15khz when measured on the scope can be slightly off as you are relying on the segments on the VU meter. Using a scope makes the ZX9 spot on accurate setting tape voltage levels vs source 400hz and 15khz but the CR7 does it with just a push of a button.

$60 for a tiny USB cable, seriously? Any cable made to spec would perform exactly the same. USB is all digital, so your hardware either can make out the ones and zeroes, or it cannot. Anything that could affect your music would introduce bad artifacts and also corrupt everything else, like file transfer. And since that would be very, very obvious, even the cheapest cables are usually made good enough. Even if you want a nicer cable, they're like $10 for 2 meters, no need to overspend THAT much.
