  I have one. I like it for shoe-gaze bass. The bright buzzy tone works great through loads of effects. But terrible for fitting in with a cover band. It can’t sound like typical rock or jazz basses. But it’s funky & FUN!

  Very cool! I’ve got a Dean Edge 6 fretless too, but it doesn’t have the fret lines - maybe the newer models have them? It’s my favourite instrument!

  I have a black one with a maple fretboard, got it for $100 and it feels goid in the hands and still has that Stingray growl evwn passive. I was thinking of selling it because I found another Sterling SUB active bass for $200 but i think this video convinced me to just keep it 👍

  Love watching and hearing your playing! I have owned a Japanese tune tbc-4 since new in 1994, fabulous to play. Is the maniac you are playing a Japanese or Korean version? I like playing 5 strings these days so one of these will probably fit the bill nicely.
