DIY School bus conversion to a tiny home
Hi, our names are Louis and Traci. We have been married for 26 years and together for 31. When we first started raising our children my husband wanted to move from the city that we grew up in (he has always been way more adventurous than me.) I explained to him that it was very important to me to raise our children around family and that day, we agreed that when our children were grown, I would go anywhere he wanted to. Who knew that anywhere would be everywhere. We just bought our bus, it is a 2003 Bluebird 3800 and the planning has begun. If anyone has ideas or advice they are most welcome. You can contact us at

That's exactly what I want people looking at me when I take a Shit !
I’m putting frosted class on the door so you can’t see through it.
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a one door two frame system like that…pretty cool !
Thanks
Looks great ❤
Thank you! 😊
@@Bustinoutskoolienice work...I am thinking of getting a box truck 28 feet I hope or whatever the longest is...I think there is an "expeditor" or something that has an extended cab bunk and THEN a 28' box... It's either that or if it looks like I am staying put for a little longer then I will build on a drop trailer/Kentucky double drop semi trailer or similar and build a log cabin ...maybe clad it in siding made from shipping container... I am very concerned about MOISTURE and vapor control/ Condensation and MOLD ... Otherwise I like the solidness of a shipping container on a trailer, but they are KNOWN for sweating / *container rain* ... it's like a pop can seating /condensing moisture but on the inside...
@@Bustinoutskoolie can't wait to see more of your layout...I find more creativity in the schoolie conversions... But I like the space and ceiling height AND ESPECIALLY YHE WEIGHT CAPACITY OF box truck or semi trailers ... Water and deep freezers and tons of insulation are VERY important to me.... I want to be capable of all climates...even planning to live in Alaska for a while so I want it fairly *bear resistant* and well insulated so no moisture Condensation and freeze thaw issues but ALSO so my water tanks are INSIDE the insulated-envolpe and part of the energy efficient space...
Very Nice!!!
👌
Looks great. 👍
Awesome job brother
Thanks 👍🏾
It would be a bit more ideal and helpful if you film how....
What part do you need?
Looks great
I am in the process of buying a bus I need help please on some ideas and how to even start
I Join a lot of groups on Facebook, and I watched a lot of videos on KZread. Good place to start is Chuck Cassidy.
Very Kool! U have made a lot of progress. 👍
Lookin good Louis! I had to learn about fiberglass to fix a rental bathtub. Only took 2 tries to get it right. Cant say i enjoyed working with the mesh though. It liked to move everytime i spread the resin. Your finished body work looks great. Cant wait to get my diesel heater installed.
Yeah, it was happening to me too but I bought this special roller that you use on fiberglass. It worked out pretty good.
Louis ur putting in some very durable materials. Which will make a big difference in the long run of using your motorhome. I'm not a quality inspector! but I did stay at a Holiday inn Express last night. 😲
Red guard is a good choice. 👍
You can definitely see it at night
