Copper head snake is our poisonous snake here in NE Oklahoma besides the rattlesnake. It was in the brush pile when we burned it. We can burn long as our state don’t have a burn ban. 😀

We used to have Easter eggers and we also had cats so we kept cat food out on the porch for the cats and realized the hens LOVED cat food so we would throw some out when feeding the hens to keep them out of the cat food bowls and realized that if you supplement the hems food with some high protein cat food every day you will end up getting a bunch of double yolked eggs. We even got a couple of eggs that had three yolks. Best eggs I've ever had. Ours free ranged during the day and also got kitchen scraps which I'm sure helped. Those were some well fed hens and all of their eggs were huge.
