    Always a goal! Lol i know I waffle on sometimes. I also have been doing a short 45 second ad break instead of the 3 minute ones I used to do lol

    As long as you know magic missile and fireball, I know a dungeon where you can make tons of gold.

    Easy for you to say when you haven’t got small hands. My fingers are 3 inches long and my palm is half an inch bigger than a deck of cards I have to be absolutley perfect for a simple palm and guys with larger hands can fumble around

    My friend’s son is 11 years old and performs with a full size deck of cards. Never gets caught palming cards. You can always use bridge size cards as well. They are smaller :)

    @@OBrienMagic it doesn’t matter how old he is, it’s the size of his hands, I have a genetic deficiency giving me small limbs, without knowing your sons measurements is his fingers small as or smaller than 3 inches and palm with the same size as a deck of cards? I doubt it. The whole “small hands” aren’t an excuse is pathetic. And then people name the 3 magicians with small hands they know out of 200000000 that don’t have small hands 🤣 I’ve been advised against bridge sized cards by proffesionals for years?

    Yeah, I really wanted this to work, but after years as an amateur magician, I could never get my Raven not to make a noticeable "THWACK!" sound along with visible motion in my sleeve making it obvious what just happened. One of many reasons I keep to mentalism, lol.

    Great video, thank you for the upload! Got any info on getting the super high end gigs?

  • @OBrienMagic
    @OBrienMagic2 күн бұрын

    Hey Michael! That is a great question! The honest answer with this one is often times it takes money to make money. Listing on free sites may yield a high end gig from time to time, but most often you need to be spending money on targeted ads or being connected. Hiring a booking agent who works with high end clients is a good way to go too. The higher you want to charge, the more you have to offer. Keep that in mind.

    @@OBrienMagic Thanks for the response! any tips on where we can find booking agents to hire or what to say when we've found them? I've done google searches and messaged the people who showed up in the results but haven't found anyone yet.

    20+ years performing kids shows as hobby. Worst behaved were Montessori kids. They have an “anything is okay to explore” and the parents tend to stay hands off. Takes a lot of patience especially when you are doing a zany kind of act anyway.

    Hi Michael, GREAT Informative video! I look so forward to your business presentations as they are always EXCELLENT. You know I am a big believer in the business card. I have several different business cards: one is set up with special message on the back to perform acidus Novus and then leave the participant with a souvenir reminding them of me blowing their mind by reading their mind, containing all my contact info on the front side with the access to my website; my other business card has a QR Code on the back taking them directly to my KZread Channel; one is a straight business card announcing my services as: physician/psychiatrist/attorney. It depends where I am and with whom I find myself as to which card I use. Needless to same having performed Magic and Mentalism over 63 years I am a tad bit old school with new school flavor 😅. Thank you for all you do! Your friend, David

  • @OBrienMagic

    It doesn't happen to me really at all tbh. Maybe once or twice a kid tried to snatch something from me? This post was a response to someone who asked what to do in this circumstance. Does it happen? Probably. Does it happen that often? Probably not.

    I usually just keep a rat trap in my pocket (mouse trap for children). 😂 I'm kidding, of course. The couple of times this happened to me, it was a SOBER adult. This never happened in the '70s and '80s. 😐
