Thanks for the videos! Just watched Mount Rose, now Mount Ellinor. Debating which one to do. We will be staying in Seabeck across the canal, it’s nice to see the hikes on the southeastern part of the peninsula. Most content focuses on the Port Angeles area.

Glad to have you along for the hike, courtneyknitter4358. If you're debating between the two hikes, I would recommend Mount Ellinor as the more scenic of the two. Both are great hikes, regardless, and plenty challenging.

Just moved here and been binging your videos love ypur channel. I havent hiked or worked out in 5 years so starting off slow but so far did 10 hikes this year mostly easy and moderate ones like garfield ledges and rattle snake ledges and dirty harrys balcony but today i did go all the way up to east peak from rattle snake so that was ten miles round trip so im slowy gaining confidence to try some real hikes. Im probavly gonna do little si poo poo point and mount si in the next week and a half

Yes! Low tide will give you the most opportunities to explore. We probably could have gone a touch further -- to the tip of the headland -- but the tide was already coming in by the time we got to the south end of the beach.

Ha! Tell Jenn it looks scarier on video than it really is. A walking stick or hiking poles would make it a no-brainer. As for those 11 miles, they were surprisingly gentle for the bulk of the hike. Happy trails! - Matt

Yeah, I assumed the northeast side was the best way to visit Mount St. Helens, but I haven't really paid attention to updates, so for all I know, the road to the observatory is open again. I had always wanted to do this one, so it all worked out, regardless. And yes, beautiful day. I love visiting St. Helens in the fall. :)

I didn't have the courage to do this one until last weekend. It's most exposed trail I've hiked. I was amazed how many people trail run here some return to the parking lot in midnight. I guess there's no fear if you don't see the bottom of the cliff.

Bravo, sunshine_pnw! I'm not much into heights, either, but the catwalk seems perfectly safe -- as long as you watch where you're going and don't attempt it in snow/ice. As for those trail runners, it's amazing to see them bound up a mountain or fly down it without so much as tripping. Everybody has different comfort levels -- that's for sure. Happy trails! - Matt

It's an out-and-back trail. Can't remember how long it took me, but I stop a lot to set up the camera tripod, etc. The first leg to Cascade Pass takes far less time than the next leg to the ridgeline and glacier camp.
