That ad was how I first heard of KH, the feeling that commercial made a stupidly impressionable kid feel was exciting. I was hyped for that game and sold on it before seeing any real game play 😂

my first introduction to kingdom hearts was on the ds, which was a very wild and overall confusing event seeing as i had never even heard of the first game, it felt great to see it pop up briefly in the video though

in Bethlehem Pennsylvania an old Hollywood video was converted into a bar and grill called Big Woodys. the food and drinks are pretty good and they were so successful another one was opened in Allentown.

I worked at a Family Video until 2020, they were proudly the last chain of video rental stores that still existed. Then covid happened and people stopped renting movies and the company went under 💀 we were honestly still pretty busy on the weekends before the pandemic! Kinda sad it’s gone

All of the interactions with other dog owners are nice if you take care of them. I’ve never had a bad interaction other than when I accidentally didn’t pick up the dog poop. And your dog sucks at the agility trial because you didn’t train it at the gym first.

Good times. I remember grinding the titan battle to level up to lvl 99 in KH1 and beaten Sephiroth as a 10 year old was one of my greatest achievements in life. I still haven't beaten Sephiroth in KH2 probably still one of hardest boss battles to date lol.

During the 2000's, the part of the comedy that doesn't translate to modern day is the "cool self-loathing of being a loser edginess" aspect of Gen X (20's/30 year old at that time). We see it now for what it was, but back then being sarcastic and mean was cool.

I currently came back to yt and ⛵, cause i refuse to get invested in a new show just to get it cancelled after 3 seasons. I rather binge watch dramageddon 2 for 6h straight with commentary

You skipped the fact streaming was, for all intents and purposes, an accidental success. Netflix didn't see the future, streaming was a limited side bonus to the DVD rental subscription by mail as only a few movies were available to stream initially compared to litteral thousands upon thousands of rental DVDs. It just took over eventually eclipsing the main business and actually to the surprise of ownership at the time. It took them awhile to commit and make it there thing. The biggest issue with streaming now tho is the deletion of art. If a company decides having certain things on there service isn't profitable, they can just take it off the service and throw it into a black hole never to be seen again. We really do need some type of preservation laws for digital media or we are gonna start losing things to time so fats.

I loved this game on PS2. The only part I hated were the loading screens and the mystery of what slot 5 was for on the Quests tab. 9:02 There's a grade higher than A+ called 'Distinction'.

Something I learned about archiving in school is that if you want to archive something on the internet, print it out. I have professors who have printed out webpages they want to archive because its the only medium that preserves an actual snapshot of what they saw at the time. If you like something, make it available offline (i.e. pirate that shit as soon as it comes out).

My parents grew up on a kibbutz in northern Israel in the 60s and 70s and said there was a central office thing they would rent movies from. They’d buy a bus ticket for the film reel and someone had to just be at the bus stop to get it from the driver. Then they’d send it back

Oppry Mills mall is probably the only mall iv been to in the last 10 years that actually seemed a bit lively. was a nice place when i lived near nashville. nice movie theater in there XD
