9000s are fast, but it's not faster than e39 in any way. 0-100 it loses traction with terrible wheelspin. let's be honest. You can barerly make 5,5sec after couple of tries, but 6sec is rather more realistic, so it's far behind e39. keep in mind you compare e39 which is stock, to the car that is tuned. I have smile on my face each time I see other Saab's fans skew the facts :D

Three years ago I replied to your link. Two weeks ago I finally found a lovely well cared for 9000 Aero, 5-speed manual in superb order. I'm only the 2nd owner, the last had it for 21 years. It's like driving a new car.

Im so excited for the 9000 aero Im getting second hand from my dad, truely a drivers car that no-one knows about and exactly like the one in this video (except with the super aero alloy wheels). its hard to convince my friends about its performance when all they see is a shabby exterior. can't wait to get my licence and show them why SAAB has such a cult like following.

Iv fitted this engine to my astra vxr but I still want a full 9000 too. Such a classy car even today. Absolutely love them.

Remember when max power did a carlton and gave it away as a prize. Yellow with 3 spoke wheels and the winner crashed it.
It certainly did not have much in the way of handling equipment but it did have the same limited slip differential used in the contemporary V8 Holden Commodore.

*what brakes do you have in there?* Ive never felt super safe with my stock aero brakes and 300hp. I def need the upgrade especially since im going to a 19t this year. Any suggestions?
Hi. They are 314mm discs from a 9-3ss redrilled to fit the 4 bolt pcd pattern. The callipers are Brembo 4pots from a Seat Leon Cupra R with remade carriers. Pads are Ferrodo DS3000's Just love these bad boys!

So annoyed that someone crashed into my dads 9000 manual it was so fun it was the first car I learned to drive manual in but yeah it had too many problems after it so he let it go. So sad. My 97 318i manual is second closest car that sort of felt like this my dad said besides the turbo and fwd

Saab 9000, the best car ever made i Sweden by Saab. The T5 engine is very strong and can take over 400hp with original pistons and rods ;) And dont´talk about the pilot seats, it´s one of the best in my eyes.
Old saabs ftw, love my B204 9-3, easy to get power from
382ps (377bhp). Made in 1990. (I'd have cut the V6 bit out!). 176mph (limited), with word having it that it will hit 190mph without limiter (redlining in 5th before selecting 6th).

Anything with a following so famous motorsport pedigree (Mk1 escort, Subaru, r32 skyline GTR, Evo) is something to add to the formula. And something popular now that when people are older and want to relive their youth or a car they always wanted as a youngster (fiesta zetec s, ST, golf R32)

Great car. TERRIBLE video/camera man. MAde me miss my 1303. OK. I am ALWAYS missing my 1303, but this really is nicely done and even gave me s couple of ideas for the next one.
