  Hoss, I don't understand you not wanting a dog that hunts close? That's what you want in a tree dog. Especially a squirrel dog. Hell even if you're hunting bear or coons, you would complain about the dog hunting too close. You do not want a long legged squirrel dog! You don't want to chase a dog for a mile for a"possible" squirrel. I'm sorry, I just don't understand your thinking

  Hello Plesons Farm. I really like this beautiful chicken coop. I have 2 questions I want to ask. 1-) I couldn't see any wheels in this chicken coop. Does the chicken coop stay fixed or moveable? 2-) If it is mobile, how do you move it?

  That is one fine dog , i've had squirrel dogs and have hunted with them all of my life . Old tank is a Dandy !!!! Really have more success when you have two people on the hunt one can shake the bushes and the other can watch for the squirrel

  They must had all been sold or not listed online. I searched for months. Ended up getting 2 rat terrier pups out of hunting stock. Mom was the size of a feist an dad was a bit smaller. Live in southern missouri here. Glad to see there are some dog squirrel hunters around here. It's really far in between.

  Good to hear from some Missouri hunters!!! I have 3 pups that someone can choose from. She had 10 and we lost 1 the second day. 6 are at their new homes. I had a backout on a pup last week so I will sell one of them. Anyway, Good luck with your new pups!!!

  I tried something like this but I didn't use the gate; I was using a drill to auger it out the stock liquid opening (did not work too well). When it gets toward the end, do you tilt it up? Would like to know how you manage that. Thank you!

  Hi Alex, it works out pretty good for a cheap alternative to a grain bin. I used my skidsteer and strapped it to the forks when it was almost empty and tilted it to get last of the feed out. Hope this helps. I thought about the drill and auger idea but I go through 4-5 buckets of feed a day and decided to go this route.

  @@Plesonsfarms I go through about the same amount, I'm going to try this. I think this is a great alternative for anyone who can't afford a grain silo, and is tired of dealing with feed bags.

  @@alext4196 it is definitely an affordable option. You should be able to save quite a bit of money buying your feed in bulk locally and it is much better quality usually

  I enjoyed your hunt. Fine cur dog, I hunt curs to. Answer me this....what are those rock piles/dams going into the Missouri river ? What do they do ? I saw those when I was stationed at Ft. Leavenworth Kansas.

  Those are dykes, they are supposed to keep the water moving in the channel and help with silt. They are rough on lower units when the water is up. Lol

  How did you funnel work out. Looking for something to use a funnel, but not finding cheap options. Grain elevators are set up for loading and unloading semis and don't have an auger, etc. to run into the hole on top of the tote. Anyone else come up with cheap funnel ideas that work?

  Hi Jack, I ended up cutting a square hole on top around 16"x16". I only cut 3 sides to make a flap. Worked really good. I drywall screwed some 1x wood to seal it up and put a big of truck bed liner on top to keep it dry. Worked out good 👍
