I'm wondering, just surgey for Lenora? Im researching what to do after jyst finding out an Osteoporosis diagnosis. My Endocrinologist ordered Prolia shots for me to start through an Oncologist. That alone scared me. But, just a few weeks later, Im dealing with pain in my neck and spine. I gyess ill call back and go for the 1st shot now. Then try to join an exercise group...doing my version. I feel just getting out will start a better outcome. Then I will go swimming this summer with my Sister in her community pool for that kind of exercise. A little natural Vitamin D too. But, i hope ti get on the proper supplements too. Not sure my body absorbs after a Gastric Bypass years ago, then also been on Ozempic for a couple of years. So, much for being thin! My A1C stays good, but could this all have contributed to cause my Osteoporosis? Too late now. I'll just have to pray I can keep getting up daily to take care of my Husband who is a 100% Disabled Veteran. I'm 70 & and he's 75. My Parents are 92! We'll see... 🙏
I can relate to this video and so glad to still be alive was given the same treatment after admission into hospital by ambulance. I also needed 2 cycles of CPR with adrenaline and it eas only after waking up in Intensive care and complaining of stomach and back pain they found stones in my gallbladder and installed a drain. Very grateful towards the Doctor's and Nurses for all the help and support 🙏
You got sepsis from gallstones that you weren't aware of? Did your skin color look weird? Did you have any pain in your upper right quadrant of your midsection? Did you have any other symptoms you remember? Do you know how long you may have been this way before you finally ended up in the ICU? I ask because I've been to doctors who find nothing wrong. My skin color is off. My palms are red and blotchy. All of my skin is blotchy really. My heart races uncontrollably sometimes and it's not my heart causing it. I feel cold and chill when everyone else is warm. I'm outwardly in fantastic shape because I cycle 60 miles daily and have for the past 20 years. I'm 54 and I know my body and something is wrong. Doctors are unconcerned because of how I look. I think I have sepsis and something wrong with my gallbladder. I'm thinking about taking NAC+Tudca to see if it helps clear my bile ducts and fixes itself because every doctor I've seen is incompetent. Glad you survived your encounter. Any insight you could provide would be invaluable. 🙏
Have the doctors do cbc ( complete blood cell count ) and check for elevated white blood cells.
@@johnb1344 I'm pretty sure CBC is one of the standard tests done when you see the doctor. I'm sure it's been done at least once. Perhaps they got test results mixed up or something because mine should have shown something. It's been 4 years I've been dealing with this. It all started with a tooth that I couldn't get fixed during the pandemic lockdowns. It just rotted out and it's long gone so I never bothered going to the dentist.

that's beautiful, I went thrugh sepsis to where it started eating at my spine. I couldn't get my self out of bed it hurt too bad. I am grateful to be alive!

My daughter is going through it now, swollen up. Hallucinations, caused through chemo. Infection. Not eating or drinking. It's a horrendous.

My husband had Strep pneumonia in 2021 which went septic. We thought it was COVID for a day, but when he had trouble breathing we went to the E. R. It was two days before Thanksgiving.He was in the ICU on a Bipap machine a few hours later. Heart rate was very high,fluids were accumulating in his body. On Thanksgiving night he went into acute congestive heart failure. He came within minutes of dying, due to fluid compressing his heart. His knee swelled up( he'd had a total knee replacement a couple years ago) with infection and fluid. It was only the skill and attention of the doctors and nurses in the ICU that saved him. Six days later he was moved to a regular room. The next day X-rays showed what looked like infection in his chest and his white blood count shot up. A thoracic surgeon did an emergency VAT procedure. Three tubes were inserted into his chest and used to flush out infection. The doctor scraped infection from his ribs and the edges of his lungs. It was one of the worst cases she'd seen. She stayed with him until 10 pm, to be sure he didn't need a blood transfusion or to go back to the ICU. Her diligence and care for him saved his life again, although she gave no promises of a good recovery. Since the rehab units were filled with COVID patients he came home on Dec.20 on two IV meds, which I had to administer. Five days later he had surgery to remove infection from his knee. His gall bladder was threatened throughout his illness but it healed. He remained on IV meds until March. My husband lost 37 pounds in one month and his recovery was hard, but somehow he survived and recovered completely over time. The next year he survived prostate cancer- 44 radiation treatments. He also had bladder and kidney stones and a trip to the E.R. with a blood clot in his catheter which almost burst his bladder. This winter he had a cold and COVID but is well now. I know my husband's recovery from sepsis is a miracle. No major complications so far. In spite of his other health issues we feel incredibly lucky he is still alive.
While at the beach I stepped on a dead catfish barb. My husband extracted it and we called 911, as a precaution and do my age, 60+. Some officers showed up and said the island had no 911 services and to see my doctor once I got home. I called my doctors cell phone. He said no problem but then called me right back and said to watch it closely. Once home I was in bed for two days with high fever and chills. I told my husband to call the doctor and tell him we would see him at the office or emergency room…as I was dying. We met him at his office. He put me on mega antibiotics and said I was with 24 hours of going to the hospital with a 50/50% chance of coming out alive😱. Very, very scary.
I have experienced sepsis twice. Once when I was 20 and once when 49. I was either sweating out of every pour in my body or shaking so hard my teeth were chattering. Mine was a rare fungal blood infection. You can feel your strength leaving you and you feel like you're dying.

I had sepsis I 1991. It was from a strep A infection. I was critically ill when I went to the ER and was in hospital for 5 weeks.
Modern medicine in the U.S. "we flip a coin",...real or fake treatment who knows!? How stupid.

My Dad survived Sepsis, pneumonia & UTI.
A couple of years ago, I wound up going into septic shock as a result of colon failure and actually it was the doctor at the urgent care clinic(this was during the pandemic so it was better to avoid going to the ER if you could)who relized something was seriously wrong when he couldn’t get a blood pressure reading.Later on, the doctor at the hospital told my parents that I came within two hours of not making it.

Beware folks, nerve cauterisation of two lumber facet joints has made the pain in my buttocks and thighs much worse. Quite frankly I regret agreeing to have this procedure. Initially I was looking forward to playing tennis again but the way things are going, this is fast becoming a rose tinted dream. Good luck though to anyone who is considering this so called, non invasive procedure.
This amazing video is from 10 YEARS AGO! We need an update! I was in the ICU for 10 days in 2022 due to peritonitis and septic shock. I don't recall anything like this being offered to help!
3 rounds of sepsis in 10 months. The last one severe. Took away rheumatoid arthritis from it, surgical incision won’t fully close for over a year, lost almost all of my hair. And I am still alive though. I remember the moment I couldn’t lift my arms anymore, not the slightest bit. It’s hard to explain but you will know what I mean, you feel yourself passing on. I don’t remember hardly anything coherent from months of ICU, step down unit, regular floor. I just recently developed enough strength to step up the sidewalk without an aid. And I am still alive. It’s a miracle and the biggest blessing. I am a single mother and I am always grateful for still being alive. It feels good to write this out in words, knowing that you guys can relate and I can relate to you. ❤️
I realize how sick I was now. I’ve been fighting triple negative breast cancer the past 7 months and chemo killed my white blood cells and caused sepsis. I knew I was sick when they admitted me but I had no idea how close to dying I was. My prayers for those who families didn’t survive!

I’m a 2 x sepsis survivor- other than being burned at two- I consider it a miracle I am still alive… with dysautonomia flaring really badly after my last one on May 5, 2021. I only found out after I got my medical records. Diagnosed bowel obstruction due to fall and scar tissue. I don’t run a temperature no matter how sick I get. Kind of shocked right now- had no idea it would hurt me long run, which explains what’s going on with me now.

Something I don't understand- If her condition was so bad they presented the husband with the option of this trial treatment, why was the treatment not offered as is, why did it have to be a situation where she may have gotten the placebo?
