  • @Efimer
    @EfimerАй бұрын

    I can understand. Thermae intervals run all the time, regardless of what you play they are in a specific moment, and you don't know which one. This mode restarts the intervals, by the help of the led counting to 4 you can start playing knowing where the intervals will be once pedal is engaged after the 4 beats. I hope it makes a little more sense :P

    I don’t think you used too much compression at all. You can always add some ambience type stuff where the clicks are to help drown them out a little… or de-click in post of course. I wish the timeline let you zoom in and actually edit the audio with fades as well as the sampler and drum instrument let us. The giant tape graphic is so unnecessary and we could instead zoom in on a track by clicking one of the knobs IMO

    Is there a point in this video where you demonstrate the sequencer having 4 beats? Thats the main feature I'm looking for and I cant seem to hear it because youre changing settings so fast.

  • @Efimer
    @Efimer8 ай бұрын

    True, I was quite fast in this one. You mean the experimental mode of my device? If so you can see it in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/p5-OxdOzlaXSnrQ.html Thermae beat will depend on the switch positions. My feature disables the pedal temporarily and engages it automatically after 4 beats so it resets the internal thermae intervals, that way you can try to synchronize what you play with the moment the pedal is engaged. That way the pitch intervals will be always in the same order, something impossible if you have the pedal engaged all the time.

    Have you tried midi clocking through ble yet? I'm hoping to sync it with some other gear as the master clock using Bluetooth, and haven't heard anything about latency from anybody. And do I understand that ble is not backward compatible to older Bluetooth enabled gear? That's why you demo'd this setup with the USB Bluetooth dongle, correct?

  • @Efimer
    @Efimer2 жыл бұрын

    Just connected to my smartphone successfully but didn't have any apps to try since I'm quite hardware-only. I'll try to think of an easy way to test it, or feel free to suggest. About BLE, they're two different things, so this one is just for small chunks of data with low power consumption, audio is not possible in this one (I think newer BLE versions will allow this), that's why I wanted to try this fix and see the latency.

  • @elecphan

    I thought the Field had Bluetooth already without the need of an adapter? I’m confused 😆

  • @darwiniandude
    @darwiniandude2 жыл бұрын

    It has Bluetooth LE midi support - which is low latency, and usable. Current Bluetooth audio protocols have lots of latency, acceptable for ambient evolving type work maybe but nothing time critical. The OP-1 Field does however have a built in FM transmitter - while that standard is petty rustic, there is no latency involved. So it's pretty handy.
