What diameter ist the shrinking cable?
Use shrinking tube (2:1) in diameter of 4.8 mm (up to 6.4 mm) shrinking to 2.8 mm (up to 3.2 mm)
Thanks! Wasn't in my mind to stretch it. So this one helped. Will try.
Glad it helped!
Disliked for that stupid ass ANNOYING "music"!!
Turn off the sound. So simple. I'm happy, that this video was helpful
It WASN'T HELPFUL you ASS!
thank you Cezary
It was pleasure @NNED16
thanks. But that music...too bad.
I'm happy, that this video was helpful :)
Yeah, that "music" was annoying as crap!
Is this radioactive?? I want to buy one but…
Based on my knowledge, it depends on every individual copy of a lens. It's hard to state precisely.
yeah... and then that cable will last you another month before it finally breaks. America's biggest phone company sells the sh!ttiest phone chargers. it's abysmal
It will last for some time
Why it is so relaxing in this black placeee 😭😭😭 How did u did the black place??
Music is the key to success. Dark room after midnight, black cardboard and small, office lamp made this black place. And some postproduction tricks 🤓
@ kk thanks! ❤
Nice
Thanks
Oh My God💛. Do not get left behind - *promo sm*!!!
I promise, I won't be left behind
Проще взять изоленту и обмотать.
Yes, using electrical tape is an easier method, but using tubing looks more clean.
@ it is not fixing cable position well, so it goes loose and breaks away minus while rotating inside tubing
There is a tubing with adhesive. It should solve the problem
Super sposób, pokażesz jak wyczyścić etui?
Dzięki. Tą samą metodą możesz czyścić etui
Will this work if the part where the cord is broken is sparking when charging?
You should buy a new charger
Hello my charger is flashing light green and not charging ? How can i resolve this problem plz?
if its blinking green repeatedly try resetting the smc.(tutorials on youtube its easy)
Did you manage to resolve the issue with charging your MacBook?
can you tell what you use than pointing them, i dont know what your pointing at
It's tubing size: diameter of 4.8 mm, shrinking to 2.8 mm
I've an issue with my plug guess I think it's short bcz whenever I plug-in the charger the plug (attaching to the Mac) gets extremely hot within seconds Can you tell how to open that plug and correct the wires
My MacBook Pro 15" Mid-2015 always tends to get hot, esp. if the device is used at the same time as charging it. This is the most stress you can put on the power supply since it needs to put out a significantly higher amperage than when just charging and not using the laptop. So since the aluminum body of the Macbooks is designed to act as a heat sink, it is normal it gets quite hot near the charging port. That aside, try to borrow another charger to see if the same symptoms are showing. If not, then your charger should be defective. There is a tutorial on the website iFixit how to cut off a damaged part of the cable and re-solder the inner wires to the plug. It is not too easy tho and requires quite some skill. Good luck either way, my friend!
Testing with a different charger can be very helpful
Thank you. I tried it and it worked really well. Although I found out that using needle-nose pliers to gradually expand both ends works better.
Great job!
Well this charger is overrated, the old one up to 2012 was better and almost unbreakable. Oh Apple.....
It's true :(
I let my brother use my charger now I am here 😂
Glad I could help! 😂
Wish I could buy one pre-stretched 🤔
Great idea for business 😁
In a world, filled with use and throw products, I love how he said 'REPAIR YOUR STUFF N SAVE THE PLANET'
What size of that shrinking to do I have to use?
Buy shrinking tube (2:1) in diameter of 4.8 mm (up to 6.4 mm) shrinking to 2.8 mm (up to 3.2 mm) or (3:1) up to 9 mm. It's important. There are two different types of tubes, low and high quality. The high-quality heat shrinking tubes are easier to stretch. The low-quality ones are made with shiny material/plastic. The better quality tubes are matt (they look and feel similar to the new Apple cords). The high-quality tubes are more expensive, and hard to find, but worth it! There is also tubing with adhesive (more expensive than regular). 3:1 tubes are more expensive than 2:1. In the description of this video, you'll find more information. Good luck my friend and let me know how it goes!
how do you repare the cable of earphones?
Use a smaller diameter of the tubing. The cable is 2 mm in diameter, so buy 4 mm 2:1 or 6 mm 3:1 tubing
this is exactly what i needed, thank you!
Glad it helped!
Or just stop being poor and buy a brand new one from our site- Tim
You've made my day 😂
You're a monster. Passing that tube through the magsafe connector is a challenge only a few tackle.
Mine is broken i I already broke 1 so it my dad finds out he is gonna kill me thanks so much this really saved me from getting my butt kicked😂
I'm glad to hear that 😁
Nice but lose the horrible music please!!!!!!
hahahahaha, voy a usar cinta americana klk.
Use whatever you want 😀
Even on 2 times speed this is slow as hell
Thanks for the tips!
Great video! Two questions: (1) Why not use a 3:1 ratio tube? (2) How about using a shrinking tube with an adhesive? It would create a much more secure seal that's waterproof.
3:1 and adhesive one are more effective but relatively expensive and hard to buy in some regions. If the availability is not a problem, 3:1 adhesive tubing is a better option
@ One word: Amazon.
A 3:1 or if available even 4:1 ratio would be much better. Trying Amazon's heatshrink with adhesive, I found as it shrunk it got quite hard/unflexible. I can't tell if it is the adhesive that hardens or the fact there's not the slightest slip of cable within heatshrink anymore. So the heatshrink area is very stiff, while the bare cable after is very flexible. So there's a hard break between hard/soft instead of a desired transition gently absorbing the bending forces. With an iPhone charger cable I found after a few weeks there was the wire started to break again right after the heatshrink part. So beware of the adhesive variant!
Woops I don’t have drills. Won’t be able to proceed. Anyone knows where can i buy drills for cheap?
Be creative 😁
you can use needle or long nose pliers
Needle nose pliers or a set of chopsticks will do the trick!
my cable came out from that connector I can see only a pin inside that connector is there a way to open and attach cable back to this
Buy a new charger. Repairing connector is a high risk of causing the fire or electrocuted
@ replacing the whole cable is ok? new charger is quiet expensive here can't spend 120$
I think Apple knows there's something wrong with the lightning cable I sent mine in because of the charging problem using the cable that came with the iPad bought from Costco brand new and they said my iPad has some scratches and blamed that it was because of the scratches on my iPad What! How can the lightning cable and charging problem has to do with the minor scratches on my iPad lol.. 🤬
What?!
@ Yeah, I can show you the letter! I still have the letter printed by the authorized Apple repair center in my car!! 😂🤣 I think I should keep it as an evidence (:
@@0animalproductworld558 also put it in a frame and hang it on the wall 😂
@ Haha that is a good advice! I was thinking of cleaning it and keep it until old age (: 🤣🤣😁
The new material that Apple uses on their cables sucks: I have a 10 years old iPad cable that is still going strong.
Most of us are in the same game
@ I’ve being using BASEUS cables: much cheaper and A LOT more durable than Apple’s
What if the wire is cut at the tip of connector are you people don’t speak why anything in the mouth
Buy a new one
My shrinking tube keeps breaking before it gets to a decent size :/
same for me even when i try so many times it just breaks even after using a 6mm wire it breaks
The lower-quality ones are falling apart easily. Try different supplier
Nice way to troll everyone... this only works if the wires aren't buggard and 99% of the time they certainly are. Now if we were to go on amazon and buy some shrink tubing for 5$ and do this BEFORE it breaks I think we all would be good.👍 Edit: are - aren't
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure
отдуши!!!! Благодарю!
я рад :)
Help me
How can I help you?
Tried with 6.4mm heat shrinking tube, perfectly fits. I have used long nose plier to widen it.
Long Nose pliers are helpful 👍
Can you use rubber
What kind of a rubber?
Fixed my cable today. Thanks for the video and thanks for those who made useful comments. Here are some points I think should be highlighted: 1. the heat shrink tube can be greatly stretched, in my case, 6mm diameter -> ~15mm 2. long nose plier is really useful to stretch the tube. 3. The quickest way I found is: insert two thin metal bars (e.g. hex key) into the tube, cross them and make a "X" as far as you can, and then continue with the lone nose plier with some effort but steady. There is a threshold and once you reach it, you will feel the tube somehow losing its flexibility and cannot shrink back (but it will when heated later) It should take only 1~2 minutes if you are doing it properly. 4. if you don’t have heat gun, your wife’s scented candle will work as well - just hold the tube several centimeters above the flame for a while, and make sure vent after the work so she will not notice it, or you probably have to pay more than a heat gun…
Great advice thank you! Especially the tip with the candle.
Great advice! 👍
would a lighter work?
@@achis9734 Yes, a lighter works also. Just be very careful, esp. with white heatshrink tube. It easily gets burned, soot builds up or the material starts bubbling if the flame gets too close. In my experience, a heat gun worked way better than any flame.
Thank you!!!
You're welcome!
I used white electrical taple. Did it in 1 minute and looks almost as good.
Almost as good make a difference ;)
I admire his effort but electric tape would have been faster as long as no broken wires
The electric tape would have been faster but tubing looks way much esthetic. It's worth extra time ;)
man thats a lotta work
a lot but looks good after all
Im at 1% battery life this best work or u getting a invitation to my funeral
Lol
I didn't get the invitation so I assume, everything is ok ;)
@ id think the opposite as he can’t message you it xD
did the same. used scissors to expand it too 😂
well done 👍
Am I looking at this wrong, or why wouldn't you simply use a bigger diameter shrink tubing rather than taking the time to stretch a smaller diameter tubing? Better still, why not use wrap around heat tubing?
The MagSafe cord diameter is 3mm. In general, the heat shrinking tubes shrink x2 or x3. You may use tubing up to 6mm if x2. I use 4.8mm shrinking to 2.4mm because I wanna to wrap the cord as much as possible
