Hi there! I’m considering this resort for a vacation next year and was wondering what the smoking situation is like on the resort. I know the DR is a very cigar friendly country; as it’s a big part of their culture and economy. I’m a cigar smoker and that’s one of the big reasons I’m considering the DR; to not only smoke but acquire some cigars while on vacation. I fully understand in 2024, tobacco smoking is very unpopular and probly seems absurd to many but premium cigars is a hobby and past time I enjoy nonetheless. What can you tell me about the smoking situation on property? Were ppl smoking in the pools, at outdoor bars, on the beach, in outdoor seating areas, walking about the resort, etc…? Was anyone, including guests or staff harassing smokers? Any insight you can provide would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.
@@BrassiXXL I don’t remember smoking there. I’m not a smoker and it would bother me. You can see people in the video and if there was smoke think we’d see it.

It’s horrible that you and your family took advantage of a disability pass meant for people with autism etc. You should be ashamed of yourself. You disgust me. Disney has a mobility program for people and wheelchairs. You enter rides at a separate entrance. But you shouldn’t take advantage of a disabilities pass. Shame on you and your family.
@@lkeating8168 I have ALS, my son is autistic and my son in law has MS. We did not “take advantage”. You need to stop judging others. All disabilities are not always easily seen.
When did your symptoms start? And have you been officially diagnosed?
I’m diagnosed with motor neuron syndrome, pre symptomatic ALS. I’ve had symptoms my whole life
@@LaineyMelnick okay because ive been having breathing weakness for like 3 months now and it’s 24/7 and doesn’t go away and I’m scared I might have ALS. I’m 20. When your symptoms started when you were young did you have breathing weakness 24/7 or did you have like episodes of it?
@@andrewl6687 episodes. There are many reasons it can happen though. Go see a pulmonologist. It feels like air hunger. I can’t get a deep enough breath. Worse at rest and laying down.
@@LaineyMelnick okay so for you, you would have bad shortness of breath for a period of time when you were younger then it would get better. Like on and off? I’m seeing a neurologist in 3 days. Also you look very good for your age
@@andrewl6687 Thank you. I would be unable to breathe and sometimes collapse from it. It has been on and off since I was 15. I saw every possible doctor but no one ever tested my diaphragm until this last year and found my MIP and MEP are very weak. I also have sleep apnea for about 10 years and have been on a bipap since then, now I’m on a ventilator at night.

Glad those covid days are behind us. We refused to sail until mask requirements were gone. Not paying thousands of dollars to be uncomfortable. We love HAL and stay in Neptune suite. Sailing on Nieuw Amsterdam is a few months for our 5th trip back to Alaska. Thanks for sharing.

When I was there they said it was only for people who can’t stand in a line for a long time or in their wheelchairs, not only mobility. I believe that’s still the case.

This video is an excellent representation of what the resort will be like when we go! Thank you! Your tips are exactly what I was looking for since I really like to be prepared and have an idea of what to expect. As for the food, you mentioned several times you are a picky eater, so viewers really have to realize that tastes are different for each and your food tastes don't mean the food is lacking. I can already tell that I will like the food and the options. You confirmed all the questions I had about the resort from the research I have already done. Thank you so much! Once question I do have for you is about tipping. I see that it is included but do people tip additional there for great service? I have been to several all inclusive in Mexico and we tip extra. Normally, with an an all-inclusive resort that says no tipping they really mean it. They don’t want you to tip their staff. But I’m sure that nobody is going to notice if you slipped a tip to somebody. Thank you for your comments. Have a great trip.

U can not be having als.i think u have some kind motor neurone related disease,that not about als or any life threatening but it can cause disability if not treated

@@LaineyMelnick actually there is no medical term to say pre symptomatic to any disease.by doing these sort of diagnosis the doctors actually make blunders. Als is a disease which do not have any pre symptom,or even it has the pre symptoms do not lasts for 8-9 months.dont know why they are misguiding you. ALS is not a disease to " believe", it's a disease of actual clinical failure,an absolute clinical failure with muscle atrophy can establish the diagnosis.in fact in over 97% of als cases the actual clinical failure & muscle weakness happens with in first 6 months of symptom onset . Still I can't buy ur diagnosis.if a clean emg is not sufficient to rule out als then there is no other test in the universe which can give even a little hint about the disease. U shoul go for another 2 opinion atleast

@@LaineyMelnickthe other issue that I see happening is people clogging lines like guardians with ecvs. Most people I know who who use the ecv for endurance and had the das for other reasons would leave the ecv outside to avoid the hell of driving it in the crowded “race for the right” viewing rooms and line. Now I’ll take the ecv through the other line. And have to drive it out if need be. Not a threat just the way it will be in a few of the lines like that.

I have this rash and was recently diagnosed with antiphospholipid syndrome. I also have numbness and tingling. I was nervous about ALS as one of my thighs was getting smaller and weaker but the Drs don't think it is because of the sensory loss

I have it on my arms. Do you know about Ehlers Danlos and the vascular type? It's one of the symptoms... but WE need a good specialist to be sure and to deal with that. That particular thing on my arms doesn't affect my life but it really means something important and we have to know what to do. Hope you're doing fine. ❤

I hate these with a passion . I get them all over . When my face starts with it … just why ? And still waiting to know the cause . ( I am hyper mobile ) Mine come and go , mainly left bicep, left side of face and neck , left hand in occasion , back of thighs and sometimes lower legs …. I hate them even though they do not hurt , it’s really annoying . I know I have hyper mobility ( was confirmed by physiotherapist ) waiting for a full diagnosis of what’s going on but , could be Ehlers Danlos .. Anyone here with EDS that get these ?
