    This dude is a genius, and a foundational inspiration for me. As you see I ain't Black, but I was always a staunch supporter of the Black struggle. Fact is: I became familiar with Panthers way before I became familiar with Marxism-Leninism, and later, Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. Long live the struggle of black people! Long live the struggling people wordwide !

    Love that so much! Died a Suicide Revolutionary at the age of 21. He deserved a lot longer life than that. Down with those imperialist terrorists killing good people to maintain their grip on their oppressed.

    Kind of relevant to contemporary times (Kanye West’s praise of a dictator, his ambition of becoming the president (term that Mr. Hampton used to describe potential tyrants coming from their own) or the likely possibility of an incoming fascist government here in the United States. This human being was light years ahead on politics, altruism,and promoting a united government not a divided one. He was murdered by American tyrants yet they failed to kill his effective, fierce, and humane political ideology. If only Americans of every creed and color would’ve experienced the presence and speeches of a true revolutionary such as Fred Hampton. What a damn shame. I will study his beliefs and record them and if am courageous enough I hope to participate in the perpetual struggle of fighting against tyranny and xenophobia that still remains here in the United States and it’s still being perpetuated by beings that could only be described as pigs. Black power to Black People, Brown Power to Brown people, Yellow power to Yellow People, X power for those I left out. I fail to be the revolutionary that you were Mr. Fred Hampton, but I’ll keep damn trying.

    This is in no way disrespect, just an observation on human behavior: the mind perceived a mental “attack” the same as a physical one. Fight or flight kicks in. The moment he felt out of his depths in the convo about money/banking/finance, his posture & tone changed. There was a real vulnerability there at the start of the vid. He looked & sounded like a kid who wasn’t comfortable reading infront of the whole class. Then he shifts into almost a rehearsed/choreographed revolutionary monologue. Again, no disrespect. He was doing far more than I was at that age. It’s just interesting to see

    Agreed. The young man was brilliant and talented, and doing far more than I was at 20, but you can still see his limitations. He didn't have it all figured out. He's right about education, but that has nothing to do with setting up a credit union. He talks about China and Vietnam as countries where "the people" really hold power. If he had lived, he'd probably be a Representative or Senator in Congress and 20-year old lefties today would be calling him a sellout. Same as it ever was.

    Amazing that 50 yrs later, people are coming together over the exact same issues. “They” let them slaughter the leaders of a party that taught discipline, reliance on one another , independence from govt, and demanded transparency by leaders. All we’re seeing today are White Panther Parties with a watered down version of the same message. The more things change…

    Genesis 12: 1-3...R✊🏾P Fred Hampton 📰 When the God wants you to move out your comfort zone you better know it's for something big...😌 Someone in the comment section said he was only 20 years old in this video and I instantly thought about the 20 year olds today despite of the K2 take over don't sleep on the youth alot of them out here are very Intelligent and packed with common sense instead of a gun...What we learned from Fred in this is clip is yes every voice should be heard as well as quiet when one is making a point that benefits everyone..And thats why I really hope that the Communities in Chicago Philadelphia St Paul and Minneapolis get started..Thank you Lord for creating Fred and this video because it really starts with our minds first🖤 God Bless you All...☀️ I LOVE YOU...Chi-town

    DAMN! Now I understand why Fred Hampton was such a threat!!!! HIS "WHY" wasn't filled with hate. It was to educate! The worse thing a person can do to his oppressor is to inform and educate the oppressed! Not rebel with just violence. But to know why and how to defeat the oppressor! DAMN MAN! AND HE WAS ONLY 21..... JUST IMAGINE!!!!!😔💯

    Any communist revolutionary movement is a threat to a capitalist system! Black panthers were very powerful in that way! Most people today don’t know they were Marxist and they’ve been yt washed so that blk movements now a days have no leftism in them at all! We’ve got a bunch of pro black nazi types running around 😂😂 It’s ridiculous

  • @bdpchamp
    @bdpchamp3 жыл бұрын

    Ahead of his time. We’ve gone backwards in terms of how we view activism and progression. Media manipulation and demonization of certain groups and people in history, distracting of what the real issues are. Capitalism is the enemy and we should be looking to fight against the wealth inequity, classism, and purposeful placement of a group into poverty. Racism is the avenue through which this system justifies the real largest issues, but the media will have you believe that racism in itself is the main problem, and that if we solve that, that all will be good and well, but in this particular economic structure we live in there will always be an oppressed people and limited opportunity, historically white oppressors chose to make black people and other colored individuals fall into that group, but even if we overcome that, it’ll just be switching the roles and putting another group of people to suffer. The goal is liberation and equality for all and we need to deconstruct this shit from the ground up in order to have that

    His words are still very much relevant to this day. Why? Not because he was ahead of his time as so many of us like to say, but because there has been no fundamental change. The means of the system may have been tweak via reforms, but ends of the system is very much the same. When this is so, an analysis of this system will always hold relevancy no matter when it was given. Continue resting in power, comrade Fred Hampton!
