Had a book and tape by George back in the early 80s. Heard about him at basketball camp. His one piece jumper is very smooth. He has a lot of intensity when it comes to practice- good stuff for a young hoopster to learn.

Was in two of don eddies basketball camps in the Dayton Ohio area, really left and impression on my youth back in the early 2000s. Being a young black kid from a single parent household, I met a kid who was the best shooter I have ever seen. We were probably freshman in high school. This kid didn’t miss. He and his little brother were white, homeschooled, and wore short shorts that looked like they were from the 70s era of basketball. Old school parents, who had a focus on Jesus Christ. Very interesting people, I didn’t understand at the time and now I can’t even remember their name, but man he had a gift for basketball that kid was very blessed. It was probably all he did, because they didn’t have any frivolous habits or things. An amazing testimony to what God can do with your talents. I’m just telling this story for my own sake. Wish I could meet him again.

I appreciate the nostalgia, but is this anything but a carelessly assembled 4 minutes of action? What about the end of the game? It's a 1 point victory for the National championship and we don't know anything about the final minutes. I can't find anything else using Google. Did the TV network or teams involved keep a copy of the film? It was a different world technologically and perhaps there wasn't a permanent recording. I wish otherwise. I grew up in Oakland and remember going to a couple games that season, watching Al Buck, Darrell I Hoff and company. Really was a miracle season.

Herb Welling i guess you want me to rank the vids you have posted? I can try that. I’ve seen almost all the instructional vids on basketball shooting. The Herb Magee one is excellent and the you tube videos by Dave Hoopla must be seen. The Better Basketball series is also good. I’m not really a fan of the Shot Mechanics series, because the instructors over complicate shooting form. For example, it teaching the “sweep and sway” is absolutely ridiculous! Encouraging that will result in a lot of unbalanced shots and poor accuracy. So the thing I love about what Buzz Braman said (in this video) is that in game situations players usually forget to hold their follow through. I’ve heard this from anyone else. It’s easy to makes shots when there is no defender in your face or pressure. Try holding the follow through until the ball hits the hoop! I tried it a couple weeks ago and it has 100% transformed my shot. I was an above average shooter that lacked consistency and experienced lots of shooting slumps. Now I promise you I can shoot from anyway - mid range, 3 & foul shots. Now if only I could thank the shot doctor! I’m so grateful.
