does fret buzz have anything to do with the way im playing what is this
@SeanHuddleston9 күн бұрын
Possibly. Chords aren’t easy. If you’re buzzing that’s better than no vibration at all. I have my students grab a chord and pluck each string individually while holding the chord down to find the noise or lack of vibration. Each chord also requires a slightly different finger angle/hand/wrist/forearm/elbow position. It’s not just put fingers here, but HOW you put the fingers. And I don’t know that I went into that detail in the video. Buzzing could come from lots of different things though. You’d have to take your guitar to your local guitar player to know for sure.

Do we have any 12th note strumming pattern? Does anything exist like that ?
@SeanHuddleston4 ай бұрын
Well you could have a song in 3/4 time, where there are 12 16th notes in total. Typically though, for whatever reason, songs in 3/4 time are usually strummed and drummed in 8th note subdivisions, not 16th notes. My teaching of the rules is based on what's typical in famous, American pop music. You can do whatever you want, theoretically.

Thanks! You got this. Hopefully you can use my video to help with some fingerings and things like that. But it is a tough song, very fun and groovy though. The melody is the easiest thing ever, it’s like a kid song, but there are so many chords. I remember the struggle I had learning this; it was just to play it really slow and work it up to speed. I did have a few years of university (undergraduate) level classical guitar training under my belt at that time, soooo you might need to learn something easier first. I have no idea what you’ve played before this. That first song in the Guy Van Duser book would be a good start, Boys of Blue Hill or something like that. Or just like a classical piece in a wedding book like Canon in D or Jesu Joy Of Man’s Desiring. But you can always take a stab at Snowy Morning and come back to it later. Never give up.
@ianson34 ай бұрын
I’ve basically got a baby version of it, played largissimo to be sure. Another 10,000 times through it and I might be able to produce a clean version of it at a leisurely pace. And yes, the first song in the Van Duser book is The Boys of Blue Hill. Thanks for getting back to me.
