Spot on…if being alone is difficult, ultra running is not a good choice. I take my dogs with me and we have a ball.

Hi there, Run The Alps! I just wanted to express my gratitude for giving me the opportunity to share my story. It's really important to me to raise awareness about growing up in the care system and hopefully inspire a young person in care to change their life for the better. Thank you so much for your support! 🌟

Thank you all involved especially On. You folks have been in my world in lots of little ways and have come to impress me by the kind of people you gather together to do these human projects. I happen to follow OAC and the boys at the Coffee Club. Im a hiker and endurance athlete living in SW Washington State in the remote Willapa Hills. My two large dogs and I log about 80 miles per week as part of our winter base training. I relate to these films because Im a 55 year old black man originally from Ghana. Im very unusual in the endurance athlete circles. 4 years ago I had a heart attack (undiagnosed genetic condition) on my farm while feeding the cattle. Had to hike 1.5 miles through the forest to get to my truck and drive myself to the hospital. I could not have saved myself without the base fitness and outdoor adventure lifestyle i have adopted in the last 15 years. As I watched this film, I for a little while did not feel so isolated and alone. The knowledge that others persevere and embrace the suck (our pain cave) to experience what we love is uplifting. If I’m the only one that tells you this, you have just put some pretty cool fan friends in my mind to think about while the dogs and I our out in the cold rain on long hikes. Thanx for introducing us to some of our fellow tribe members. Thanks for the hikers joy!😊
