    Folks in the comments are so impatient 😂 i had two cats that took 6 months to integrate, they were never besties but we had a peaceful household after that. If you dont have a spare room/bathroom/closet it would be tricky.

    Yes indeed, 5 and a half months in and we have only just managed to have ours in the same room with a very cautious tolerance of each other. It can take a lot of time, effort and patience to make it work. Sometimes we felt really desperate though, it can be upsetting and stressful even in a more spacious home.

    This procedure was performed on my horse when she choked, food stuck in the oesophagus. It took some time but little by little the food was removed and she recovered.

    I was a new rabbit owner since 2022, and at first, I thought that rabbits have no attack power since they were prey animals, but when I threatened it, it scratched me.

    Fleas are bastards to treat especially if Thier in your garden these little buggers can be treated cured but then boom the pet goes outside fleas are back that's why after treating the fleas you should use flea repellent products on the grass and your dog or cat if it's safe

    When a pet scratches at their furcoat, they become allergenic to a tick allergy.

  • @carterthechevrolet9219
    @carterthechevrolet92194 ай бұрын

    Why do ticks cause such a problem for dogs and cats? Like many other parasites, ticks, as they remain attached, leave tiny quantities of saliva during the feeding process. The saliva transmitted from the diseases transmitted by ticks is often pretty irritating to the person, and it creates both a local and systemic allergenic reaction. When pets show this reaction to tick bites, they get categorized with a tick allergy. Ticks pose a 2nd HAZARD, in that they can substantially deploy hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms. Cats or dogs can be infected with these types of worms, when the worms larvae are ingested from contaminated soil. Hookworms can also penetrate your petskin, and then migrate to the intestinal wall, and drink the hostblood, causing internal bleeding, ulcres, and blood loss. Roundworms migrate from the intestines, thru the liver and lungs, and back to the intestines. This species can cause vomiting, anterrytis, tissue scarring, and pulmonary disease. Whipworm infection can result in bloody diarrhea, weight loss, dehydration, anemia, and in the worst cases, even death. Tapeworms attach to the intestine, but rarely cause significant problems, unless there is a swarm. The egg packets can be really unpleasant to deal with, when shed via the anus. Some of these worms can be passed from pets to people, talk to your doctor today, about how you may protect your pet and your family from the following parasitic insects.

    This was very helpful, my dog has been itching, licking, and biting at his paws for sometime now. I thought it could have been his allergies or maybe fungus on his paws but after watching this and reading all of the comments…………. I'm starting to question if my dog has fleas 🥴 I hope not but I know it's not ticks from the looks of it. If he does do you think spraying our carpet with Apple cider vinegar would help get rid of them?

    I have decided to adopt the stray cat that came to our yard the whole summer and I fed outside. He slept in my yard almost every night and cried at windows and doors to be allowed inside. My cats fought him through the windows and mosquito nets. Rn the new cat is quarantined at my friend's house after we tested him for viral diseases but when I bring him home i doubt any of this will work. They already seen each other, smelled each other, and fought through windows. So what should I do when I bring the new cat home? I was really thinking to let them solve their differences and maybe eventually end up tolerating each other..?

    Day 3: our 5 year old male cat absolutely hates the new 10 week old female kitten. I think we might have rushed the introduction and cause a bad first impression. We'll go over these steps and hope for the best. If not, we'll have to take her back to the shelter. Please wish us luck. Day 5: We keep the kitten in a separate room and don't let her roam around the house. The big cat sometimes comes over to her door and by using a door stop, we let him see her and watch her. At first he hissed and growled a lot but now he just sits down and watches her without making aggressive noises. He stays for 10 minutes and gets bored and leaves. He is more comfortable with using his litter box today. At first he would either not use it at all or use it every ten minutes (which i am guessing is because of stress). No signs of stress is shown at this point. But we still have a long way to go.

    Just know that this can take a LONG time if one or more of the cats is a "hot head" like my new cat. She is sweet as can be with us but with the resident cats she is having trouble relaxing despite all three of the resident cats being very low key and calm. I feel we will get there but it has already been months of doing it the way all these video's suggest. In the past I have simply opened the door, let all the cats be together and with little to no issues they all did fine with no acclimation (and over the years this has worked for me 6 different times). But this new sweet girl is a whole different personality. So just know that this almost always works (nothing is 100%) but for some of us it will be a very long road to peace and harmony.

    Ehhh, idkkk.. my Mom has a redish Mane Coon cat and it's neck towards the upper chest area is white and when petting it, you can very easily see little black spots deep in the white fur all over. It looks like a tiny bit of potting soil. I thought it was at first, and then I realized it wasn't. I then thought they were flea eggs this whole time up until I saw this video showing that it's a "flea coccoon." Even deep in her red fur, the fur starts to turn into a whitish/grey color and you can easily see them there too all over her body. It's easy to spot the fleas and they're rather large. Larger than I thought a flea was. I just couldn't imagine having a dark fur colored dog or cat. Then it would be pretty much impossible to spot them without a magnifying glass..

    Omg I hate when your not supposed to let them see each other because my kitten needs to explore the whole house and I’m not locking my cat in her room all night because the litter box is in the bathroom and they have to share it. I let my kitten out of the box she was in as soon as I got home and there was hissing from my cat but that’s totally normal. It’s been 2 days and now my cat is sniffing my kittens butt to understand her personality and see what she can learn about the kitten. My kitten was arching her back and growling at my cat for a little bit, but now she is warming up to my cat and my cat is warming up and teaching her what’s okay and what’s not okay
