  There are some minor inaccuracies for the American foods round. America calls jam both "jam" and "jelly". "jam" contains fruit (ie fruit preserve) and jelly is without (or made with juice/flavor and no solids). we also use both "cornstarch" and "cornflour." I use them interchangeably, but there might be a distinction. Jelly is gelatin. "Jell-o" is commonly used, but it's just a famous brand name like saying "Coke" to refer to any cola.

  The Daily Mail did noy say Facebook gives you cancer, it simply published a report by a doctor which said that social isolation from things like Facebook can leesen the body's immune response which might lead to an increase risk of cancer. I don't notice any loony headlines from the Guardian on this program.

  1. Senseless argument from Anna and Paul Sinha. The lowest number question wasn`t about mental arithmetic. It was logic. Given that the first numbers were 1 apart and the second numbers (multiply) too, it therefore logically follows that the 1st would be the lowest. Put it another way: which is lowest:(7 + 7), (6 + 6 + 6) or (5 + 5 + 5 + 5)? 2. Mel`s the classic get the others to win the money for me. No wonder she`s just a staff nurse and not registered nurse.

  1. Zeus and Sarah encouraged both Jasmine and Duncan to take the highest offer. Sarah did likewise but Zeus, the big-talk coward, actually went for the lowest--and lost. 2. Again, Bradley`s pronunciation of French word is so bad that as a French speaker, I couldn`t get it. "Gateau" is pronounced "gar-tow" and not "gair-tow." 3. Duncan carried the team in the final round.
