    Ok throw out the chick peas, thats a garbage source of protein, fine food but if you are eating as a source of protein then you are cheating yourself. Bacon is pretty crap too because of the high fat content, again good food but you dont want to be eating loads of it.

    You could also generally use 1g of protein per cm of height. That is used especially if high percentages of body fat are apparent or high density of muscle mass.

    1g/lb is a bit too much, I think. I'm ~100kg, and I eat 1,7 g/kg, or 170 g a day. 1g/lb would mean 220 g of protein for me. Way too much.

    Novel studies say you can engage protein synthesis with 1.2-1.6gr of protein per kg of bodyweight. So 120gr to 160gr per 100kg of bodyweight.

    overrated i went from bench 95kg to bench 125kg on 1 scoop per day and one canteen meal which had protein per day in the past i tried different things too and theres not any noticeable difference i guess it would be different if you are new to lifting or if you are not natural though probably the most important aspect

    Do not eat protein bars on a diet. they are really expensive and have too much fat and sugar and taste like straight up bars of soap. treat yourself with healthier meals and your body will thank you for it.

    194 grams of protein and like 500 total calories. This is the problem for people like me who eat a lot of protein but not a lot of carbs and fats. Im 170 and can barely get to 2500 calories a day but consistently get 170g of protein.
