I am happy you are staying cool , yes the Rocky Mountains are very beautiful. I hope that wasn't German radio I heard 😉(just kidding) shame on you 😉 , I know how some Swiss feel of Germany , ask my Swiss -multiple Tour De France racing friend Marcell . I am glad your new drone works very well. And yes , there comes a time to ask yourself "how much do I value my tires/vehicle and safety". The cooking looked out of this world , but I was lost after "stir fry" , I can fix anything but a good meal, yes I can burn water. Take care kids!
Nope that wasn’t german radio haha. It’s swiss radio … but in good old swiss german 👍🏻😃 And yes you’re right. On such roads you get easy to the question about safety and damaged vehicle. But mostly you’re already in the middle when those questions come up. What then? Turn back or continue? Luckily some guy there told us that it’s easier to continue. And he was right 👍🏻 Take care

Thank you Gerald. Once for longer time on the road you'll find yourself suddenly without any traveling plans 😀. That is then a time to chill and keep things cool running. And the feet will get itchy again for sure ... we already feel it after one and half week at the same place ... 😃
certainly a bleakarea to travel alone,thank goodness toyota made the troopy.I always maintain my vehicles meticulously but my troopy is the only one I have total confidence in.
Yes Gerald, you’re absolutely right . I have high confidence in the Troopy to go with it really far from civilization. There is no electronics that could fail. The car is like a Rolex: It simply works, keeps the value and you buy that only once in a lifetime 😃.

Great episode. We were on the edge of our seats. We once waited out Icelandic weather on a bike trip - fierce winds and horizontal sleet - in a culvert under the Ring Road highway - we were getting blown into traffic and travelling -5km/hr. Nail biting and exhilerating at the same time. We are peons to the force of nature. 🌬⛈😘

But I travelled Scandinavia on bicycle and know well what it means to be out in harsh weather 😐. But at the end this is something you never forget isn’t it? Well that was an exciting episode! , that is called " white knuckle" driving , and you thought Table Rock in Oregon was scary! haha. I am happy to see the drone flew well at that high elevation , be well! PS , what audio recorder and microphone do you have ? Im finding the need for one while flying my drone.
Well indeed it was exciting 😧 … 😀. We did similar stuff in the Alps, roads we are never going to forget. But the landscape up there is simply unbelievable. And at night we heard some wolves howling… as you told us once 👍🏻

Hahaha sometimes I‘d love to sleep for a week … or a whole winter like the bears 😂😂 Yes, we’re fine and drive trough the beautiful mountains of Colorado. We have nearly every afternoon some rain but that feels cozy after all those deserts we traveled.

What a great video. I love the nightime time lapse photos and the flight path of planes in the Las Vegas glow photo, you must have some great batteries to keep the camera powered for that. Well I now have a dream of visiting north rim of the grand canyon!
The north rim is really worth to visit Laszlo. Mostly you have the whole Grand Canyon for yourself. that is probably one of the most deserted areas in the USA. By the way, Those star trails videos are done with GoPro. Amazing isn’t it?

WOW! , I never imagined the north rim having so much vegetation! Juniper and Pine trees! Your Troopy is now doing train it was built for! Where there is a will there is a way, you found your "edge of the rim" camp- and a beautiful one at that. I can reassure you (about the crowds at south rim) it hasn't changed since I was there in 1990 , I did what Chevy Chase did in the movie "Vacation" , took a photo , bobbed my head and left.
There is indeed quite some forest around Grand Canyon, north and south rim. Today now we are leaving to the Kaibab National Forest. We're looking forward to that. We are amazed that this region of the north rim is one of the most deserted areas in the USA. Really amazing ... Sure the troopy is in its environment haha. But it hurts do drive it like this. Gravel roads are not really a problem but such tracks are a pain in the &%ç#! And yes, we did the south rim like in "Vacation" hahahahah

Don’t miss WittmoreCanyon, south of Fredonia. About 90miles well maintained dirt road with the last 7miles very rocky but worth losing a kidney for. Not only is the view epic, the hike down the the Colorado River is <2mile. However, the hike back up is not as easy due to the steep grade and extreme heat this time of year. Be safe. Thanks for sharing.

Reached today Kanab and exploreafter that the Kaibab National Forest. I guess you guys are already somewhere in Utah or even further, right?
