was there a retainer at the transmission side ? 03 Forester and I need to see how it goes back together and stays together.... I put mine back together but drove it and heard click, etc, and noticed axle had popped out 3/8 inch at the transmission, WTH. Tired and disappointed at the moment. Maybe there is no retainer ?

Thank you sir. All I really wanted to know is if I'm going to have to pull the dash apart to get the expansion valve. You can make it short with that information

I think if you use rubber type of material like the bike tire inner tube instead of the red rag which slips and spins that would make it not spin when you turn the nut.

So aside from needing the car raise for your own access, does the vehicle really need to be lifted off the front wheels when changing out sway bar bushings? Because if not, I'd like to use ramps. Thoughts?

Easy way to take harmonic balancer off, put a socket with breaker bar on it, brace it solid without any play, bump that starter just barely. Like magic it's loose. Not for everyone, but it gets the job done quickly without extra BS.

I have a 2012 X Premium Forester - what's the part number on this thing? I'd like to order it ahead of time as mine is rusted like yours! EDIT: Looks like 14050AA992 is the latest for my car. Also, what do you recommend for a procedure for draining/refilling coolant? Is there a special bleed procedure? Thank you!! This is an awesome video!

This is such a helpful video! Do you know if there universal parking brake cables will work with a Nissan Frontier? I know "universal" is in the name but the length seems far too great from the products I'm finding online

Jiffy lube broke my plug. And tried to cover it with glue and I took it to them because I was just feeling lazy to do it that day after a 13 hr shift so I took it to them and this happens. It was time for the next one and it’s when I turned the drain plug it popped right off and seen the glue they used.

Hello, how are you? Thank you for your video. Is it normal for there to be water in that hose that connects to the EGR valve? Because as I see when you removed it there is water there. Greetings from Honduras.

Never have to remove a skid plate keep one bolt in and it will swing out of the way for filter access. Choose wisely. 😮😅

You have a empty connector by the accelerator connector. I have that too. No other video shows that. I tried to find what is supposed to go in that connector for a long time....but nothing goes in that empty connector!

It's been a while since I did this using HF Holt brand. When you pull at 6:58 , try to create a seal and keeping the reservoir full as much as possible as it depletes then keep refilling. I used about 2Q and didn't have to bleed the air at all in the end. It was turning nicely and smooth. God, I wish I took a photo kicking myself now cuz I don't remember how I hooked it up to create a tight seal. It was so simple too. I used the heck out of this fluid extractor it's a game change for me. I used for just about everything from brake to oil to PS you name it. Brake was a life saver comparing to Mightyvac hand pump. I love using Fluid Extractor wishing more people use it frequently. For oil, it actually pulled to bottom of the pan because the oil nut sits 1" higher than bottom so I was always stuck with old oil contaminate new oil

Hey boss. Very excellent job , camera angle & clear instructions. Quick Question is how do I know that my bump stop and mount are in good condition. My vehicle is very lowered from back. Nothing in the trunk but still lowered no oil on shocks. I want to replace the shocks but I just want to make sure that my bump stop and mount are also good before installing the new shocks. My vehicle mileage is 140k. 2014 Hyundai Sonata GLS. Will be highly appreciated for your answer and guidance. Thank you so much. God Bless.

One step you missed, apply some grease on the new oil seal lip and pulley journal, this would prevent pre-mature wear. on any lip seal.
