Hi guys,
we are a group of friends from Greece, that grew up together, sharing the same passion for outdoors. We spent a lot of time hiking, backpacking, camping, biking, driving 4x4s, riding enduro etc. Our families are not the richest, so we had always to figure out how to continue following our passion. We used what we already had and searched the best but not the most expensive tools for our equipment. Spending lot of our time on paths, peaks, in forests, on beaches and on the road, transformed us into believers that the best university is the outdoors.
Our moto is "Just dare to go out there and let yourself be taught"!
Our mission is to demonstrate that you don't need to spend a fortune to do it.
Have fun,
your Outdoors-University Team.

Another fantastic video, thank you Panayioti for sharing. By the way, your English is really very good.
@@nikos8354 Thank you for your support!
On target!!! 😊👍👍👍
What was your total costs?
Sorry, I cannot answer it, as I had most of the materials already around. The main fabric is from a sit sack which we didn't use any more, the black covers are from a poncho that had a big cut on it, the inner material for the back and the shoulder straps was a yoga mat and I had already a lot of paracord. What I bought was the buckles, the net fabric and the polyester webbing.
Λίγο κάρβουνο - μαλακιά και περισσότερο κάρβουνο πιο σκληρή;
Can you make your subtitles smaller. I can still see them a little
This is like a validation of another nearly identical shelter demonstrated on the channel Far North Bushcraft and Survival. Compare it at kzread.info/dash/bejne/o5es15t9gLXWedo.html I think this has some improvements over that one. But my main point is, this and the Far North (it's in Alaska) shelter are very similar, and seeing two videos from widely separated parts of the world reaffirm it's effectiveness.
Shake water out by slapping lighter against leg or palm (so that droplets fly out). Something that works for me.
your solution by purchasing aluminum tubing and slipping the fiberglass rod into it, then taping, is the smartest... IF a person is thinking and planning ahead by cutting additional pieces and packing those... (which is the most practical)...they will be rewarded with a quick fix..... but your first two two are excellent as well. .... people just have to plan ahead, but very few do. By the way... few of the more modern tents are solid poles... the camper in this modern world were just wanting smaller and smaller sections of fiberglass poles to deal with... so the companies complied with hollow tubes with stretchy cords so no one would have to think when assembling the pole sections... HOWEVER, those of us from old school camping experience, who still have our original camp gear (because we took care of it and older stuff tended to be constructed better than the stuff coming from China)... do occasionally break stuff. Your solutions for old solid rods is simple... Thank you for your contribution to the world of camping. ---------- side note (your straight to the point of topic photography and simple auditory explanation is easily translatable by the algorithm in You Tube.... many other individuals fail to recognize this necessity when they post solutions on various topics.)
I am glad you found this video helpful and thank you for your support! Love, Health and good thoughts for you and your Family!
Panayioti, I forgot to say "Xristos Anesti!!"
wonderful video but could you talk a little faster >>>>
If people are starving for water, THIS is way too slow process to get enough water to survive. 1 hour has passed and all you got in return was 1 drop of water. You would not survive long at this rate, if you are in desperate need of water.
You can make many at the same time
Recently found your channel. I really enjoy the videos. Your atlatl was great. You should be ready for hunting now! Viewing from Kentucky USA
What do they taste like?
Sour
_After many failed attempts..._ What a beautiful phrase, and congratulations on persevering. I also am glad that the rope held your weight - had it broken, you may have been injured on that concrete. Take care of yourself, please.
Ein Paradies..Wasser, Holz, Bärlauch
Brave, going out there with a sushi pack
I know this is 3 years ago but WOW! You make it easy. Other tutorials complicate it and to many steps to remember. Thank You! 👍😎

Perfect! Passing the knowhow to the next generation!!!! Thank you of your videos. I know these things myself, but enjoy watching anyways 😊

Great setups! I have a rectangular tarp setup that creates a fully enclosed shelter without wasting material :)
Σε ποια περιοχη ειναι το χιονισμένο τοπιο;;
This is not a Tarp, but a parachute.
06:18 Could I trouble you for the name of the knot you tied here?
It is a Prusik knot.

Wow just amazing 😊
Like your video. The bed was great and you have tons of room under that shelter. In the rain is the bests
super helpful instructions!! Wishing you showed how to tie the top to the tree though (with easy release preferably)?! Can't wait to try making this for our kids at the new ecoretreat! Thanks!
Thank you for this video. Very well done! It seems you had a very nice overnighter in the woods. I like that type of shelter; it gets you up off the ground.
Occurred to me there is a different way to make a super shelter, dig a hole to lay in, put plastic sheet over hole, reflective mylar on floor, Sun's long rays heat ground during the day just like a car gets hot on a sunny day, should dissipate heat slowly during night.
you forgot the feta
