He’s probably gonna have to spend his first term arguing with older people about reversing some changes in law. Our parliamentary has too many old people to function properly. The change we need is near impossible since old people, as much as I hate saying it, get greedier and more selfish the older they get if they have no family and most politician I’ve heard of have either really small family or none left.

I’m sure Poilievre has enough common sense to recognize that our military allies & trading partners in the EU take defence very seriously. Serious enough to take steps to modernize their militaries… now. I’m sure Poilievre has enough common sense to understand that America wants a NORAD ally & trading partner that is carrying their fair share of North America air & coastline defence. I’m sure that Poilievre has enough common sense to not blame past governments, Liberal & Conservative, for the pathetic state of Canada’s military, but, will instead, offer an action plan to get to 2% of GDP for NATO & NORAD. Thus securing our international trade & defence alliances. Well Done Poilievre. Right?

All sounds ok if it actually happens - except for civilian guns(hunting rifle excluded). Quite often, or too often in my little sleepy area of Canada there are raids of homes where police find drugs, AR 15s and hand guns……..I would rather they not be in the hands of civilians so hope that the firearm ban stays. Given 3D printing however it appears people can create their own guns. I would like to know what social and healthcare he will defund as I am suspicious of him ending the dental plan.Given healthy teeth have an important function in our overall health. I think it is important to keep the plan…even if the dental fee isn’t fully covered and one has to pay a portion it would certainly help Canadians look after their teeth.
I’m still voting for this guy, but it’s actually despite his carbon tax plans. Carbon tax had the word tax in it. It’s designed to make money and will make money disproportionately from those whom pollute the air more. If you drive a truck for business, your gas becomes a write-off. It’s supposed to make pollution expensive to incentivize investing in alternatives. Get rid of the stupid carbon tax rebate that nobody considers, and then reduce income taxes to compensate.
