  This is an old video, but if anybody has this problem, it's down to having a VA4 PAL MD1 that needs a slight mod done to fix the problem as per Sega service bulletin!

  你首先用塵泵清潔全機內外 , 清洗磁頭應該用羊皮條壓在兩頭之間, 然後用放酒精在羊皮處左右拉動, 但同一位置不要往回拉 , 完成後各機械移動位置加潤滑油 , 建議手動轉動磁頭步進電機使磁頭前後移動, 因為長久沒轉動可能會有異物阻礙引致不轉 , 這是我最近把30年前的 1.44M, 1.2M 軟碟修復的經驗 。

  If people are still coming here, i found one possible reason. If it is a softmodded console with hdd ready game files ,your burnout 3 games files could be missing certain track files that you can find on internet archive and patch in.

  I've never seen a sega dev card screw up so much that it edits the insides of the Z80 RAM. Thats having fun with Exodus emulator for no reason. Also hidden fact: If This "Illegal Instruction" or "Address Error" message appears just press "C" it might work, it it still says "Illegal Instruction" or changes to an "Address Error" or "Line 1111 Emulator" or "Line 1010 Emulator" Just press "C" a couple of times for to get the game running again. If the error handler loops in the same address number. Type the command you always do on a MS-DOS PC to reload the rom in the dev kit.

  Never got around to testing sadly but the caps had swollen a bit so better to replace than to explode them. Knowing the owner of the card, it's probably sitting in a box to never be seen again. 😮‍💨

  I have a SNES that started to display some (not all) horizontal sprite-lines like 16px too low on the screen; like y+16 (or perhaps: "Y or 15"). The line itself is correct; it's just the addressing. Anyone any idea where I should start troubleshooting ?
