This is where I called it quits. Literally the entire rest of the game was a breeze even with accessibility off. This was a brick wall for me so it's nice to see someone actually beat it

Phoenotopia was hands down the best game to release on steam/switch in the past 4 years, and is absolutely worth it. I've spent 45 hours of my life just enjoying the fuck out of this title. The atmosphere, characters, and puzzles just make you sit back and remember when games were meant to be FUN.

Howling in loss, sadness, and anger. Curling into a ball in defeat. This is what I purposefully gave up on and then proceeded to not even reach my low hanging practical goals for. I could've made something like this.

The way this f***er kept stealing my food all while taking sadistic glee as I lay paralyzed and unable to stop him pissed me off so much in this fight that I wanted to rip the jackal's guts out just to get my food back and to get my revenge. But the most we can do is stock up on burned food and give him a stomach ache when he steals it. (It's actually a viable strategy and cathartic as hell)

Phoenotopia: Awakening is now my favourite game ever made, and i couldn't give it higher praise if i tried. I have plugged 80 hours into this shit and i have yet to get bored. Zero Trial here i come!

Really enjoyed this game. Had some moments that I questioned the game design I will admit, some parts were painfully frustrating, such as Caves of Mul but overall I love the game. Hope to see a sequel.

I remember playing this game my freshman year of Highschool. I always catch myself replaying it every now and then because I loved the story and gameplay so much. I’ve been following this game’s progress ever since Quell announced both a reboot and a sequel. I would check the tumblr page MONTHLY 😭 I can’t wait to purchase this game asap

Picked it up for PC recently. Good game. Unnecessarily frustrating at times (Mul Caves, certain pauzzles and challenges) but really enjoyed it. Hope to see a sequel.

This game is AMAZING, would HIGHLY recommend for those who might be on the fence. If you liked Cave Story+, you'll love Phoenotopia: Awakening, it's as simple as that.
